My partner is in the military, and this is the company we were provided to service our move. It was one of the worst experiences. The movers took almost 12 hours to pack and move onto the truck a living room, kitchen, garage, bedroom, and bathroom. The "head" worker took at least 30 minutes out of that time to complain to us about how little he got paid and how he was looking forward to finding another job. They took at least three smoke breaks throughout the day, which is a bit unprofessional to me when they took as long as they did to do their actual work. Furthermore, the packing of the truck

So we had a military move with this company. And let me tell you, it was a horror movie scene.
1) items that were set aside (newborn items) and were not suppose to be packed (we instructed about it), were packed. It was newborn items crucial for a baby. Had to buy all new stuff afterwords.
2) they got too small of a crate for our furniture (and by that I mean not small because we had a lot of stuff, but too small to fit our 1 couch:)) which was hanging out of the truck through the interstate drive (and we honestly have no clue if they fixed it before putting it to the ship). So all the way from

We were so pleased with this company. The movers took all precautions to protect doorways and floors while moving us out of a 4 story home! The movers were friendly and professional. A big thanks to Brycen, Kenny, Rasheed . I have another mover that I have forgotten his name, forgive me! They were so great moving us out we requested them to move us into our mew home! Job well done! Highly recommend!

Military move - two employees showed up to my house....I'm thinking "how are they gonna complete this job?" Well they didn't....the crew was pretty cool, but when it started raining and the guys decided to take a break and fell asleep in the truck, while they slept, they didn't secure the back of the truck and thousands of dollars we had spent on children's clothing for our kids, friends and family got damaged and now smell like mold. They smell like mold, because after I woke them up, they fell back asleep and I called the base and informed them of the situation.

Went for a interview 15 minutes early but when I got there the office looked like it had been turned into a storage room. I called the contact from the job ad and she said they moved to what look liked a abandoned building next door. The only bright side was the employees who kindly greeted me and gave me a place to sit and said the interviewer would be right with me. After waiting 15 min after the scheduled interview time I decided to leave for another interview I had in 2 hours.

I can't thank this company enough. We had a hard move and the movers, Ivan, Wallace & Christopher were amazing. The process took longer than anticipated due to the stairs, but they worked amazingly well together and I never worried a bit. And they took great care not to damage the furniture or the property. I will need another mover in about 4 months and plan to use Coastal again.

Worst moving experience so far! They argued with each other a lot and lacked communication while unpacking our stuff and was very unorganized. If you deal with this company also make sure you check all your stuff, under stuff and your house from head to toe. Have them move it if it’s a heavy big object. They like to damage stuff and your house and hide it under/behind big heavy objects then deny doing it when you go put in a claim. Don’t make the same mistake I did and didn’t have them move anything and check and signed the final walk through paperwork cause once you do this company won’t

I was very scared to use this company after seeing the Yelp reviews. Since our move is a PCS and we let the Army do it, they chose for us. I went into this with eyes wide open and honestly expecting the worst. We were promptly contacted by the moving company and a lady walked us through the set up process. You have the option for her to come out and assess your moving needs OR you can do a video conference & she can have you walk through your home. We chose the video conference & it was very effective. (Tip: you may have to buy the app on Apple but it's free for Samsung and worked

This is by far the worst moving company we have encountered. This company needs to be black listed by the army (Ft Stewart). WE HAD A SAFE BROKEN INTO AND DESTROYED. Talk about feeling violated. And the safe wasn't even the worst of it. They broke an antique Secretary from the 1800's, our solid wood coffee table, our crib, a standing desk, our dining room table, and who knows what else since we are still unpacking. Among the damage, we even have MISSING items. The lack of respect for our things is astonishing. You are a moving company. You are in the business of MOVING not DESTROYING

We have moved 6 times with the military so far and of all of the experiences we have had with movers, we have had THE WORST experience with Coastal Moving and Storage of Savannah, GA.

Octavia and Tony were the two packers who came to pack our home. Tony started packing the kitchen and we noticed he was putting a huge variety of items in a dish pack and labeling them "pots". When asked if he could be a little more specific with labeling the boxes or if he could at least label the boxes with the brands of higher value items he said it was not their policy. Coastal estimated my shipment at 11,000 pounds and, despite my repeated insistence that it was, in fact, 12,500 (I might have moved 8 times in the last 12 years) pounds, they set everything up for 11,000. When the truck showed up with space for 11,000 pounds, surprise of the century, our shipment didn't fit!! Now I'm stuck with an overflow shipment... such fun!
Day two of trying to load started with me making 11 phone calls over the course of 4 hours. I'm finally informed that they will have a truck to me between 3 and 5. Great, we can get this

The Army hired this company to pack and move our household goods from Savannah to the D.C. area. This was our 4th Army move and we have NEVER had anything damaged until Coastal Moving was tasked with moving our belongings. We knew we would probably have some damage by the way they left our house with dents in the wall and when we asked them "please don't slide our boxes down the stairs". One guy was at the top of the stairs letting boxes slide down to a guy at the bottom.

Army hired these guys to move my stuff. In 15 years, this was the worst move with the most stuff broken.
Glasses packed with pictures, glass shade for a lamp was thrown into a box with no wrapping. Wife's college diploma was crammed into a box that didn't fit, desk was completely destroyed and so on.
Posting pictures so you can see some of the damage. Highly recommend that you don't use them.
I am about to go through the claims process which I am sure will be cents on the dollar of actual value.

The packers were completely unprofessional. The delivery men were at least respectful... I've never had so many items damaged in a move in my life. Most of the boxes were marked wrong . For instance it would say clothes and be dishes! They misplaced parts to put items back together as well as lost items. Sentimental items broken that can't be replaced. I'm really just astonished the Military would hire such a horrible moving company. Whatever you do, don't use this company!

This company was chosen by the military (no doubt because they were the cheapest) for our move from Georgia to Texas. To say they were awful is an understatement. They rushed to pack our house (they had five days and took only one) and nearly everything ended up damaged. Entire drawers were emptied into boxes with no packing material. All of our furniture now has scratches, dents, or worse. The truck loaders were argumentative when I requested that they not put anything heavy on top of a fragile piece of furniture. Several pieces of artwork were left unpacked and I had to travel with them. Worst

Never ever EVER use this company! If it's your last resort rent a uhaul. We are a military family and have dealt with many moves and many companies. If I could give them a negative score I would. Our items were treated with disrespect and purposefully damaged. Brand new items were written up as worn soiled and worse. It begins from the top down. Packers haphazardly threw items in boxes resulting in broken, warped, and soiled items. One box was so poorly pack that when opened a cloud of hot chocolate mix rose and revealed all my items had been covered in this invading powder. We threw movers
