These guys were great! Moving across country is no joke! Moved from NYC to lovely LA!
They packed up everything for me. And I'm a very particular person when it comes to my things. They were careful everything, and i have lots of little porcelain dolls and glassware that need to be carefully wrapped and transported.
Moving my home and business (I work from home) is extra stress for me because my computer equipment is my work, my source of income! They handled everything with care. Uprooting is very tedious and they helped relieve a lot of that stress.
All my delicates were wrapped nicely

I emphasize this because there are several other similarly named companies out there that, apparently, do not provide as good a service as Cross Country Movers (CCM) does.
On with the review. Our experience with CCM in relocating from Los Angeles to New Jersey has been fantastic. From day one, our assigned contact, Phillip, proved to be extremely nice, responsive and helpful in providing us a rough cost estimate and timeline. I hired Cross Country to move from NyC to CT - their customer service was amazing till they secured my business and then it was horrible. They charged me $500 extra for parking alone as their contract says they will only move 75 ft without incremental charges (its 75 ft from my lobby to my apt). The manager was vague about incremental fees and I walked away spending $1k more than their quote. When I called in tears she hung up on me. Not exactly the service I expected during covid and moving home to be with my family.

They were hired as a third party to deliver my heated pressure washer. They picked it up from the shipping company on Tuesday (which I thought was a bit of a wait) and told me they would deliver it on Friday. I called Friday morning to verify and was told it would be delivered between 1 and 4 and they would call one hour before. I called at 3:15 because I had not heard from them and they told me they forgot to put it on the truck that day and it wouldn't be del until Monday. They recognized their mistake but refused to do anything ab it until the next shipping day. they will have it for 6

Actual customer here! I moved from NY to California. They weren’t pushy, gave me a real quote, didn’t charge me any extra. Held my stuff free for a month. Beware they freight ship everything so if you don’t fully pack boxes they get squished. Make sure everything is packed perfectly or have them pack for you. Even with my less than perfect pack job, nothing was broken. Have recommended them to many friends. They showed up a bit late but was fine for me and my situation.

HORRIBLE!! SCAM!! Do not waste your time with this disgusting company. Completely lied on their quotes to us and claimed it was a software issue. Lied to us about the time frame of the move. Showed up to my 3 story home with a detailed list of our furniture with a truck only having enough space for a 1 bedroom apartment and claimed they weren’t… accounting for all my “large” furniture. So glad I canceled my move with these scammers do not listen to the fake reviews and ignore the rating 100 percent fake I initially set up my move MONTHS in advance with these people and was told 1 week before the move they would arrive at 8am the day before I'm told they aren't arrive until between 2 and 6pm...first off what kind of time window is… that? I spent HOURS trying to get ahold of someone to fix this because that time frame was unacceptable. This company is a group of scam artists. Do not use them for your move they provided my movers with the wrong information, the broker did not return calls, and the price point that they gave was much less than what the movers charged on the day of the move.
I have moved around NYC and NJ and have always gone right to the movers vs working with this fraudulent company.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! This was my first and last experience hiring a moving company. The only reason I am not giving one star, is because the actual packing and loading of my items by the movers went seamlessly. The company, however, made it difficult from the very beginning and I paid a ridiculous amount of money for terrible service. I was only moving from NYC-Massachusetts, which they promised would be accomplished all in one day due to the short distance, and it was a complete nightmare. I would give a negative review if I could. A complete fraud of a company. Lied their way through to give me a cheap quote and then when the movers arrived, I was charged a ton more money though multiple times I confirmed with the Cross Country Movers that all of my items were included and the quote wouldn't go up. Upon calling them with questions when the movers told me the quote would go up, Cross Country was just like sorry not our problem and hung up. DO NOT USE THEM.

We used Cross Country when making our move from the Bay Area to NYC in March. The local movers that came to pick up our things were very friendly, professional, and even gave us a courtesy call to ask if they could come early. The pick up went very smoothly and they were able to calculate the exact volume of our stuff and get us some $$ back! All of our stuff got to our new apartment in great shape and the local movers in NY were just as friendly and professional. If a long distance move is in our future, we would definitely go with Cross Country Movers again!

In looking for a viable solution to get the rest of my belonging to my permanent location I came across cross Country Movers and based on my initial quote, they appeared to be reasonable so I moved forward in working with them. These guys saved my life! Had to move to Austin for work and this service made the whole process so much easier. The communication prior to the move day was great, guys showed up on time and they were all super sweet. I was very nervous about some of my furniture because of how delicate they were but they were so gentle. Everything was packed and… ready to go within hours. They used certain crates for the delicate items which worked because everything showed up un touched! Cross Country also moved my car which was a first. It was so nice just flying into Dallas and having my car waiting

I moved from TX to CA and they were very professional, prompt and provided exceptional customer service. It was very easy to receive a quote and they arrived as scheduled for the appointment. I have lots of glassware and very precious items that hold sentimental value and they were extremely careful with handeling my items. They also made sure… everything was secured for the move so I had no worries. My vehicle was also protected during the move. They gave me a really good quote on that as well I was very pleased. Just completed my move from NYC to Denver and happy to recommend Cross Country Movers. I chose them because they were at least $500 cheaper than every other company I got quotes from. That might scare some people off, but their reviews convinced me to book with them.

I used Cross Country Movers to move from the East Coast to the West Coast. I looked at other options, such as the various pod companies. Cross Country was recommended by a friend who had moved last year, and had good reviews on Yelp. Cross country was probably not the cheapest option, but not unreasonable. It was the least stressful option and with their extroadinary customer service, it was the right choice for me and I would recommend them to anyone.

Everything was absolutely exceptional! The movers were kind and very careful with all of our fragile furniture. They moved everything out so quickly and explained the process step by step to us. It is very nerve wracking moving your entire home across the country, but they made me feel so comfortable and at ease with the delivery/storage process. I commend Cross Country Movers on their excellent effort with the move. I purchased a house couple of months ago in California. I wanted to go to through a true professional mover and was little anxious for that reason. The guys kept us stress free. They appeared on due time at both ends (loading and delivery). The price was reasonable and they worked very well together. The Cross Country Movers team defiantly showed me what a pro mover looks like. They made the processes as easy as could be. I would highly recommend these guys.

Great long distance moving company! They sent us good guys - easy going and hard working. From start to finish the movers didn't break anything. So many horror stories I've heard before about unsatisfactory work of the moving companies' personnel. After all was delivered I could easily find each item when unpacked. We were very pleased with their crew. They worked 8 hours straight, but they were friendly and smiling despite of their fatigue, no complaints whatsoever. So I'd give them more than 5 points, if I could!

Cross Country Movers in Brooklyn helped my family relocate to California! The movers were awesome, very hard working and responsible. They tried to be as careful as possible. And I'm very grateful to them for such diligent work. Though the crew had to work in awful conditions - it was raining hard that day. So of course they're my heroes. All stuff got delivered with no damages and not a single thing was lost!
