Hired A plus movers for a local move 1 bed 1 bath. It took them 6 1/2 hours for 2 people. Only one of the guys was actually moving everything. The entire place was pre boxed, bed was taken apart etc so there was absolutely no reason it should have taken them 4 hours just to get my belongings out of my building that had a freight elevator.
They charge by the hour and will only have one person do the work while the old guy sits in the truck. I had to help move in my own stuff because the one guy couldn’t do it all and I wanted them out.

The team at A plus movers took full responsibility of the move, making sure everything was done right and we the customers did minimal work. They carefully and tightly packed the truck, giving us as much space as possible. The team was friendly and easy to work with. We would recommend!

My experience with this moving company has been anything but less than amazing! They had a huge project on their hands due to the fact I was moving from Minnesota to Texas (1,200+ miles away!). And, this was my first huge move. They were great with communication, which really helped ease any concerns that I had. Super polite and their pricing are fair, far better than any other moving company I was looking into! I appreciate their hard work and would definitely use their services again!

This is the first time that I've had to move in a long time so I had a lot of stuff that I care about moving between the two houses. I called A-Plus Moving & Storage because they were recommended to me by some friends. The movers were really friendly, the service wasn't trying to nickel and dime me, and everything came whole. I barely had to lift a finger and the whole experience was incredible. Call these guys if you have a long move ahead of you.

The team at A Plus was just that. They were so nice, great sports about moving in 90 degree noon heat without AC, and treated every piece and detail of the move with impressive care. They were so quick and efficient that every time I turned around a whole new section would be done, and they made the entire process feel seamless (which is saying a lot for a moving day). I was extremely disappointed in the deceitfulness of this company. I called to get a quote for a 1 bedroom move two blocks away from the new residence and was given a flat fee for 3 hours. Sounds great, right? No. At the end of the move we were hit with a surprise $154 charge for the four items they shrink wrapped (we were NEVER told this was extra) as well as an additional charge for the half an hour drive time (on top of the 3 hour rate). Again, our move was two blocks away. I expressed my disappointment to the mover and was told the HQ office would have to deal with the dispute. I have tried

Where do I start? They promised me three movers and there were only two. They were late. They took forever because there were only two movers and therefore charged a crazy amount. They broke the entertainment system and a lamp. They scratched the apartment bldg. It was Al and old Joe from the liquor store. Go with Two Men and a truck. You’ll end up spending less for a more professional and efficient service! We learned from our mistake the hard way. If you do go with them at least make them sign something for insurance purposes. We didn’t have any signed agreement. Big mistake all around. Professionals

I don't understand the three stars!
We had hired another company that arrived late, in a bad mood, and tired. When attempting to load some valuable paintings didn't go well one of them became belligerent and then flew off the handle and told the other guy to pack up the stuff because he was done. They left us in the lurch, with an alley full of our boxes and stuff just sitting there. In one and a half hours they had barely loaded 10 boxes.
In a panic we started calling movers but everyone said that 2:30 was too late in the day. Then we called A Plus and after confirming our location

I am very disappointed with the owner of this company and his lack of integrity. I recently booked a move with them and for the most part everything went ok. Until the very end. I would say they move pretty slow. My boyfriend had to help them a ton just to get the job done faster. But overall, the move went smooth besides a bookshelf I later noticed that they broke. The real problem happened after the move. I accidentally overpaid Al, the owner, due to a miscommunication between myself and who I was moving in with. Not the movers fault. More like C minus. What a nightmare! If you know nothing else about the owner, know that he takes his employees tips.
I spoke with the owner a few times on the phone, we discussed my situation and we agreed on 3 movers. He showed up with 4 movers and tried to bully me into paying for 4 movers by dramatically insisting that my move was impossible with only 3 movers. I found this very underhanded and unprofessional and told him so, and also refused to pay for 4 movers. After we had started moving things out and putting them in truck, the owner threw a little tantrum and again dramatically and emotionally

I chose this moving company based off the previous glowing reviews. I, however, did not have the same experience. Al and Mike arrived on time and started loading up the truck. Al mentioned to me that he thought the job would have been better suited for a three man team instead of the two that had come.
