Services
In 2008, Frank and Maria Scalish made a bold decision in the basement of their Lakewood home. They were going to start a business. To me, the glass was half full and there was a great opportunity to create a lasting legacy of building a greater Cleveland while honoring the past and making buildings healthier.
I have always been passionate about design and construction so when the stars aligned and presented the opportunity to start a business doing what I love I jumped in headfirst. Fast forward to over a decade of Scalish projects under my belt and I couldn't be happier. Working with some of the most talented and energetic people in the industry helping the very best clients bring their dreams to fruition is all that I could have imagined.
Real-life construction and renovation projects aren't like those seen on TV. It would be great if projects were neat and clean and wrapped up in 30 minutes, but that's not reality. We work in the real world and will always do our best to manage your project and your expectations. We'll let you know when things are going according to plan and when unexpected issues arise.
A house is four walls and a roof. A home is a place to raise a family and make memories. Any construction project - whether building new or working on an existing home - is a significant investment. We take that responsibility seriously. Let us create the home of your dreams. As homes have become more energy-efficient and airtight, concentrations of indoor air pollutants have increased.

With a contract putting us at over $120/square foot (demo & renovation, no significant structural work, no roofing, no significant siding, no significant change to layout) we expected and were promised great quality and attention to detail. This is NOT what we got. We are now three weeks past doing the punch list walk through and there is significant work to be done and poor workmanship that has not been addressed. Cracked cabinet, dings/stains/poor paint job on cabinets, I'll fitting thresholds, cracking grout, gaps between new flooring and new doors, gaps between the new mantel and floor, gaps

Very nice apartments. Quality places. Someone I know applied, made more than enough income that was basically double the rent. They were just told they couldn’t live there or be given a lease to the apartment. Maybe because they were um? Probably? Black? I’ve never witnessed someone not being rented to because of the area or how nice a place was. This is a first for me. Their in so much shock. Unbelievable.
