Bronzeville Green Organic Landscaping, BGOL, was founded in 2008 by The Renaissance Collaborative, Incorporated as a social enterprise that facilitated a transitional job training program.
It was specifically designed to help The Renaissance Collaborative, Incorporated tenants and community residents obtain the next level of self-sufficiency, employment and independence by providing them with the opportunity to build a job history and acquire basic job skills.
The original aim of the Bronzeville Green Organic Landscaping workforce program was to provide tenants with a credible employment history and marketable job skills so that they could more easily re-enter the job market successfully.Today BGOL has grown into a full service, social impact, non-profit landscaping company, with a true social mission that lives on.
