BRL focuses on your experience within your outdoor space and draws inspiration from the bigger picture; your landscape growing and evolving over time.
Brent is happy to meet with you for a free, initial consultation to understand your needs, become more familiar with your property, and to ensure the outcome suits both your personality and lifestyle. During this consultation, Brent will get to know you better, drawing inspiration from you so that your landscape will compliment you and the way you live.
What was so impressive was the blend of talents that Brent & his team have - the perfect combination of creativity, fun, expertise, care/finesse, and strength/work-ethic that would make any landscaper jealous. On the design side you've got Brent leading the team - Brent knows horticulture, he knows zones, and planting times, and soil, and grading, and perspective, and balance, and scale and which things play well with others and on and on.

Brent is a garden sorcerer. From the moment we met back in January I knew this guy was the landscaper designer of my dreams. He understood what I envisioned from the beginning. I had the task of turning a very large and very public front yard into something people would enjoy walking by. Brent provided our condo association with a fantastic design for the front landscaping of our West Town walk-up. He was incredibly helpful throughout the process: from drawing up a modern design, selecting beautiful trees / plants / grasses, and meticulously overseeing execution on the day of planting / installation. Digging up and replanting in the city is no easy task, so be sure to recognize the hard work done by the landscaping team (particularly in the heat of the summer).

We have been with BRL for several years, and they go above and beyond to keep our city yard looking spectacular...so much so that random passersby regularly comment on how great our front landscaping looks. Especially in the Spring, the care that BRL takes really comes through!
While there certainly may be more important things to focus upon in these strange and not so bright times, BRL plantings are a small reminder that there is some beauty out there!

I cannot say enough good things about Brent and his team. They were so responsive and on top of the entire project. Brent spent a lot of time listening to my vision of what I wanted to see in the design and he delivered well above my expectations. I basically wanted him to find tropical looking plants for a Midwest climate and somehow he did just this! He searched diligently for the best trees and perennials for the yard and his efforts definitely made a huge difference in the final design. I am in love with the final outcome and look forward to working with BRL for future projects!

Brent took our sad overgrown yard space and transformed it into a stunning and beautiful space. My husband and I have enjoyed having coffee in that space, admiring the various colors and fragrances. We simply adore our landscape designer Brent. He is such a genuine and lovely person and the designs he produces are stunning and are executed beautifully. I'm always amazed at the wealth of knowledge he has in his head, not just for plants, but also for architecture. He has a lovely and responsive team that works with him. Other than Brent, we usually talk with Felipe and he's wonderful and so nice and knowledgeable.

Our first meeting (and all subsequent meetings) with Brent and his team were fantastic. Not only do these folks know their stuff, they are fun and friendly to work with on a project. They are extremely busy so be patient if there is some lag time or if, like us, you order a very special timber that is customized for your project.
We didn't have any idea of what we wanted and had a slightly flexible budget as well. The design talks

We actually started working with Brent in summer of 2014. After staring at the eyesore that was our previous courtyard for too long, we decided to call a few experts to see what their vision would be for our space. Brent and his team assisted me with outdoor decorations for the holidays. The weather did not cooperate but Brent and his team made the best of it and produced a beautiful holiday aesthetic that has been getting a lot of compliments.
Brent met with me to discuss a plan, delivered a bid on-time and within budget and then delivered the final product. We had a bit of a malfunction with some lights and Brent returned quickly to make an adjustment and repair - and the holiday splendor was back on full display.

Brent and his designs, creativity and spirit are phenomenal. We started using his team a few years ago to design our roof top deck, parkway and front lawn area. Working with Brent has been unique, enlightening, fun, and beautiful. We were fortunate enough to hire him 2 years ago to help us find a truly special tree to go in our small city yard. He introduced me to a Japanese Stewartia, hunted down the most gorgeous specimen he could find in the city, and it became mine. Let me start by saying that my wife and I are difficult to please aesthetes. We care deeply about design and visual beauty and we were both fearful when we started our landscape designer search. We had a strong vision of what we wanted (and what we didn't want). We're not easy to please people. We have high expectations. We're demanding (but fair). We're control freaks. Brent and his team are awesome! They created beautiful planters vas garlands for our home. They had to come take it down and put it back up a few days later because Chicago fire was filming in our street vas needed all decorations down. The day im they put it back up was one if the coldest days of the season and they still did it fabulously! Brent is also very nice,professional and very accommodating. Affordable prices.

Exceeding expectations is the name of the game with Brent. I reached out to him based upon signage I saw at a property he landscaped down the street. I had a back yard with nothing but sod, and it was completely not me. Meeting with Brent to show him the space and throw some ideas around was a good start.
