Jim Bennett and sons has been in business since 1989 both installing and repairing wood floors. We are family owned and operated. We fix and repair all types of major brands of hardwood flooring. Our highly trained specialists are some of the best craftsmen in the business. We service you with experience and great attention to detail.
Use a swivel type of dust mop - using this kind of duster will enable you to reach into corners and hard to get at places. Wood floors with a urethane finish should never be waxed and require cleaners that won't leave a film or residue. Keep on hand a natural hardwood floor cleaner for cleaning occasional scuffs and heel marks.
Regain the "pizazz" that your wood floor had when it was new by getting it re-coated. Re-coating is a sprucing up or preventative maintenance procedure. Re-coating involves buffing the floor with a light grit which abrades the existing finish to allow the coating to bond. It also removes many of the surface scratches.

At first, it seemed like I was getting a good job, for a steep price, which I did not mind. The job was completed. Jim's workers were pleasant but they did not do the job properly. They also did not do what they had promised to complete. There were portions of the floor that were just awful and you could see the sanding circles. Also, they were suppose to leave me a pint of the concocted color ( which was a blend of other colors) they did not. I have called twice and Jim has not returned my calls. I would suggest to go elsewhere. Thank you

Found hard wood floors beneath the carpet while remodeling my house. They were covered in dirt, grime, and paint. Got ahold of Jim and the rest is history, they did a beautiful job and I couldn't have been more satisfied. Easy to work with, affordable, knowledgeable, and had a great crew working the floors.

I had five boards that were damaged by termites. I searched around for someone who could replace the boards and gave Jim a call.
He was able to come out later that day to take a look at the damage and gave me an estimate that seemed fair. He then scheduled Dustin to come out later that week after the exterminator treated the house.
Dustin showed up on time which I appreciated. He was courteous, respectful, and most importantly knowledgeable.
The damaged boards were engineered wood flooring glued onto a concrete slab and fortunately I had enough left over from when it was installed so they

I wish I could give Jim a better score, unfortunately when it was all said and done we paid a lot of money for a mediocre job. We asked for a repair for some water damage and the damaged parts were not replaced, only about a quarter of the wood I thought he was going to replace actually got replaced. He also picked the wrong color stain and his main employee tried to tell us it was the right color stain but it obviously wasn't. We put our foot down and they finally agreed to resand and restrain it. They then put down one coat of a semi gloss finish on the whole floor and it looked excellent

Jim is an incredible human. We phoned several companies throughout town that would not even offer us a quote unless we would reconsider a FULL REPLACEMENT.
We had a few hiccups as we were under a tight deadline and somehow Jim was able to pull it off!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND Jim for his knowledge, his communication, and work were great!

I called the doc and they were the only company in town that could arrive in less than three weeks time. In fact they came out and did an assessment and gave a quote the next day and had the repairs done the day after that. Jim and tony here are beyond pros. They really know their stuff and did an amazing job on my home. I was fearing getting my damaged floors fixed for so long because I figured it was going to be a nightmare, but they put me at ease and did the repairs for an extraordinarily fair price. Tony even repaired a board that was only partly damaged and wasn't even part of the quote

I worked with "Doc" on a 1945 house I'm helping to restore as a volunteer with the Sunnyslope Historical Society. His price was competitive and he's licensed and insured.
"Doc" was always on time, did what he said he was going to do and, best of all, the floors look AMAZING!!
I mentioned this is a volunteer project for me, and you know what they say, "a camel is a horse designed by committee." Doc was gracious and patient as we navigated the process.
