We recently moved into a new (old) place, and wanted to restore the beautiful but weathered hardwood flooring. Golden Hardwood Floor came out and gave us a quote at no charge. We pondered it over for about a week, and they were available for a time that worked great with our move-in schedule (2-3 weeks after the quote). Golden hardwood floors went above and beyond anything i could have asked for. because there was a rush they came on a saturday afternoon and put an extra coat of protection on the floors of my home. from start to finish they were professional. after looking at my floors they recommended doing a much less extensive and therefore cheaper job. they were fair and honest.i would recommend them to anyone who cares about their hardwood floors.

Floors look great. Simon and his brother Nam are very good fellows to work with...After you try to make appointments with all the flakes, after all the phone tag, after all the refinishers can't start for a month....Hire these guys.

We have been remodeling a house in San Francisco, doing demo ourselves, calling various contractors and getting bids for jobs that are outside our skill range. Simon is wonderful-- excellent communication, prompt scheduling, and very efficient and high quality work. He now has done flooring work for me in two office spaces over the past 5 years-- removal of carpet and repair/refinishing of original hardwood in one space, and most recently a combination of installation of new oak planking in three small rooms and refinishing/repair of an adjoining larger space with Douglas fir flooring that previously had been poorly and visibly patched. Simon and his crew did a terrific job refinishing the hardwood floors in our 80 year old flat. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the nail hole were filled with a dark filler that makes the filled holes stand out some. Over all though, a good job, on time and on budget.

Simon and his team were the most professional outfit we identified, after several quotes. They did a quality job on a 2 unit condo building in the Marina. The owners liked the color, and as the listing agents my manager and I were also pleased with the finished product.
