Label your boxes by room and/or contents. Our professional movers will be able to move boxes more efficiently if they are uniform, sealed, stackable, and labeled. Our professional movers are familiar with most makes of furniture and are capable of disassembly when necessary. However, if you have extra time, you can save yourself some time and money by disassembling and reassembling larger items yourself.

Updated on 12/30/21…Have used and recommended this company a few times..Huge shout out to CHRIS and the crew, they did a great job! “Nothing is too heavy” for this great moving company, I appreciate it Matt explained the very reasonable fees and set everything up, also made sure the HOA had the necessary proof of insurance. We contacted Matt who I believe owns Coleman Moving Systems. His prices were fair and we set up an appointment. He did not require a deposit just that we set up a date for the move. They called the day before and they were spot on time. Scott and Sean were our movers. Scott had over 20 years of experience. They knew how to protect our leather items better than we did. I was very SPECIFIC with the move consultant, Matt Walters. I was leaving on June 21 or June 22 and I wasn't sure what area I would relocate. It would either be Orange County, Santa Monica or the East Bay. THE NOTES/DOCS FROM COLEMAN INDICATE: "TBD".
I asked for a specific quote taking into account I wasn't certain as to location. Matt stated that he would give me a firm price - and the only extra charges would be for storage. I asked what that would be and he said "$100 per month

This is the local mover you want!
Coleman moved me a few months ago, but I have just unpacked all the pictures/photos and delicate glass. NOTHING was broken. Also, all the electronics arrived without any problems whatsoever.
The packing and moving crew were great. Mr. Coleman was flexible around moving dates. The price was right!
I have made many many moves, but this mover, by far, is the best!

Coleman Moving is simply the best company in town. I was beyond impressed and happy with their service. Setting up your move is easy and very straight forward. Estimates are completely reasonable. No surprises. The movers, Jeff and Jerry, showed up on time, and did an incredible amount of hard work all while being polite, clean and careful with my stuff. I felt completely comfortable trusting them with all my worldly possessions. I would happily use them again and highly recommend this company to anyone. I have used Coleman Moving Systems 6 times in past 17 years and have never had one problem. The guys are rock star movers. Can't believe what they can do (last place had narrow turning 3 story staircase). Just booked them again for my next move.

We found them because our piano teach recommended them as being the best piano movers. They have moved us twice now and of the two moves, the only thing broken or damaged was a candy dish that I paid $1.25 for on an impulse buy and that I didn't expect to outlast the party I bought it for. Having moved 36 times, i have come to expect something to be lost or damaged in moving as part of the cost of moving. I feel qualified to say the Coleman family movers are except and I don't want to use anyone else.

We had an incredible moving experience with Coleman Moving Systems! We had Scott, Chris and Dennis helping us move our home in San Diego. They were reliable (showed up exactly on time), communicative (they responded and adapted to all of our requests along the way), and incredibly nice. Most of all, we were impressed with how fast they worked! Unfortunately, we were behind on packing and we were worried that they wouldn't be able to mover certain un-boxed items (as we've experienced with other companies in the past), but it was no big deal to them. Highly recommend this company! Scott and Chris were excellent movers - moving quickly throughout the 4 hours we had them. They were super pleasant and tolerant as we moved things between homes and storage. They offered help beyond expected at every step, and were super careful with everything. They helped set up our washer, and let me direct them to arrange furniture exactly as we wanted it! Rates were very good and we will most definitely use Coleman again!

From calling Matt and receiving a well-laid out quote, to increasing the number of movers just 1-day before - he was calm, cool and collected.
The 3 men who helped us move were kind, considerate and hard-working. They genuinely appreciated lunch we got for them and worked super hard to get some pretty large pieces upstairs.
It felt nice to keep it local, and support another Native!

Yea..simply out. THE BEST. I am extremely picky and somewhat over demanding... nearly.impossible to please. Not only did they move me.from a house to a 37th floor hi rise apt, they did it swiftly, safely and without damage.... WHAT..no for real. This is a family company built on pride and integrity... I can't say enough good things about these movers! I have moved many times and have never come across such efficient and caring movers. They knew what they were doing and took extra care to make sure not to knick walls/floors or break any items which included a grandfather clock and a baby grand piano. They arrived 2 minutes early, did not take any extra time on the break/transport to the new location, and overall just had a positive attitude which made an emotional and difficult day fly by with ease. I had a very good experience with Coleman Movers. I would not hesitate to recommend their services. I needed a cumbersome piece of furniture moved from Little Italy to Ocean Beach. They were able to provide same day service at a good price. Matt answered the phone very friendly. JP & Crew brought my 'new to me' wardrobe with mirror doors to my new spot. Thanks Coleman Crew !

Below is an email exchange between Albert and me about the damage his movers did to my $3000 Beautyrest Black mattress. Before I hired Colman I told Albert that I had a heavy mattress and he said, "heavy stuff is our specialty." First, the two guys dragged the mattress on blacktop and sidewalk, then tried to load it on a cart that was about 3 feet wide by 4 feet long. To get it on the cart, they folded the mattress hanging over the sides like a giant V so they could move it without it dragging on the ground. I wanted to share the terrific experience I had with Coleman Movers today. Matt their VP was flexible as we continued to push back move dates due to housing purchasing issues.
The 4 person crew led by Scott, and Pat, JP and Dennis were terrific. I highly recommend them and if you need to refer I'd ask for them by name.
In all the moves I had to do over the 5 last years, starting with our cross county move, this has been the best experience. Highly recommend them!!!

We used Coleman movers after a recommendation on Nextdoor. I thought they were great, on time, nice guys and pretty quick.
My only complaint is that they started using their plastic wrap, which wasn't really needed, without asking me and it ended up being $30 extra. The customer should definitely get a heads up on that... HOWEVER the owner Matt called and quickly offered to reimburse me for that so I would say their customer service is awesome.

I have an excellent experience with Coleman! I originally booked Discount Movers for my move. Discount called me the day before to say they couldn't move me during the time they confirm to me a month ago. Coleman stepped in and honored Discount's rate. They sent three very efficient guys. Very professional. This turned out better than I had expected. Discount sucks. Coleman rules!!!!

We had an excellent experience with Coleman Moving this past weekend. Scott, Wes, JB, and Pat were our moving team, and they were exceptionally professional and efficient. We had a local move (just a few minutes down the road) but we have a large family, so it was a big move for us (with a lot of stuff!). Had a large sleeper sofa that needed to be moved. Not a big job but was not able to do it myself. This company beginning with Stu, who I spoke to her on the telephone, was just terrific.
The guys were EARLY! Who ever heard of that? The size of the job really did not matter, because I could not do it myself or with friends. We recently moved and had an amazing experience with our movers. They were quick, careful and efficient. We really appreciated them being able to extend the 3 hours we had originally booked them for. They not only moved our stuff from our old home to our new home but also built all of our furniture and were very personable!
