I brought my 2021 truck to Joyce Koons for an oil change and tire rotation, something that was supposed to be covered by the extended service I chose to buy when I purchased the truck in January 2021. This was a FORD (ESC) Extended Coverage Plan (attached for reference), purchased from Koons in Tysons, VA.

After reviewing my receipt, I found that I was charged $132.49 for the Oil Change and Filter, something that is explicitly covered according to the ESC plan. Why was I charged this amount???!!!

My husband and I purchased a pre-owned 2015 Nissan Altima with a Platinum Protection Plan from Joyce Koons in March 2018. After having a mechanical issue with the car 30 months into our purchase, we contacted the warranty company only to be told the warranty had never been activated by the dealership.

This means that from the time of purchase to the time the warranty began was actually 30 months ($1525.) for a warranty we did not actually have. This is fraud.

My husband wrote to Shawn McGregor without receiving a response or resolution. After waiting for a response but not receiving one

Who writes a glowing review about a car dealership? Well I'm going to because this is like the Trader Joe's, Nordstrom's, Southwest Airlines of car dealerships! Let me explain.
- I decided to lease a car from Joyce Koons in December 2020 because I squeezed all of the local dealerships for the best possible deal. We walked in to look around and test drive some vehicles. After walking the lot and the show room not one person that worked there approached us or even said hello. They were very rude when I approached there counter as well. They were on the phone and one of them held their finger up and shushed me!!! I turned around and grabbed my wife and left. I wouldn't recommend this place to my enemies! Customer service was the worst I've ever seen.

The 5-star rating is for Tyson Farina, GM Service Manager

Mr. Farina went out of his way to correct the wrongs that had been done to me during the month of July. It was a long month filled with frustration, and Tyson made up for it in less than two hours. I appreciate his commitment to service, and addressing the issues with my Acadia. My wife and I are more than appreciative and have not had any issues since. If you ever have any problems, Tyson is the one to get in contact with.

Appointment scheduled for 2:00pm to discuss a new lease. It's now 3:56 and we're just now going over the terms of the lease options. I spoke to the sales person prior regarding my trim preferences and of course he was not prepared! This was truly the worst experience ever!! It's way to nice outside to be in a dealership where the salesperson lacks professionalism. Best practice...Always Always be prepared considered we communicated via text regarding my preference. You must do better!!!

Let's list the issues from when I leased a brand new 2016 Acadia from Koons...
Needed new transmission before first oil change
This was fixed but felt like 100k+ mile car
Salesperson didn't talk about personal property tax NOT included in lease (Ford includes this in monthly payment)
Salesperson didn't mention $500 "disposition fee" when I turned in car (I didn't buy again because of bad experience)
2 weeks before I turned in the car it passed VA state inspection but GM charged $500 for new tires

Bad experience with Koons and even worse experience with GM.

Bought a beautiful Infiniti at this location. The problem is, it has considerable rust underneath (subframe). I wish I would have been able to put this on a lift and see the rust. I'm so disappointed in this dealership, the car is pretty much rotting. Do not buy a car here.

Buyer beware! Used cars at this location are WAY over NADA suggested retail. Do your homework, buyers!

Also, Koons' "processing and doc fees" are listed at nearly $800! That's as much as a few car payments!

Per ConsumerReports.org :
"A charge of $150-$300 for processing documents that establish your title and registration is reasonable. Question any charges that are higher than $300. Sometimes called a "doc fee" or "conveyance fee," this is supposed to cover the dealer's cost for processing the paperwork for the purchase, title, and registration

I've had two bad experiences. I'll try to be brief. First time I had my Buick LaCrosse in for service I was quoted one price over the phone and was giving another price when I got there. I literally had about $2 more in my bank account then the original quoted price. I was livid and stormed out without my car.

Second time, I dropped my car off on a Sunday . My car had a tire/ rotor issue, so unfortunately , my car sat for about 6 weeks. Luckily, I had a back up vehicle to drive to work. It had been extremely rainy for those six weeks. My car ended up with a very wet trunk and

I have now bought my 4th car here, a used one for my student son. I had complete confidence in getting a 12 year old car because of the consistent reliable interactions I had buying my GMC truck (i love that diesel Canyon BTW), and a couple of Honda on the other side side of the lot. Every employee is attentive and clearly communicates what to expect, and when. I have never been stranded in waiting. My only complaint is they could use better wi-fi in the lounge, :) , but what really matters is their honesty and fair pricing. I never used a dealer

I recently moved to the Manassas, VA area and have been looking for a vehicle for months. After deciding on a Buick Envision, I swung by Joyce Koons Buick. Best vehicle decision made!

My Sales Consultant, Codie Fravel, was extremely patient with explaining all the ends and out to the vehicle. I am not an impulsive buyer, and Codie made me feel like when I was ready, he would be there. They actually had a 2016 with 2,500 miles on it that I fell in love with.
