Just finished my move from Texas to California. I want to clearly state, the 1 star has absolutely NOTHING to do with the team that loaded and offloaded. The family was very professional and seasoned. Corporate however, (customer care specifically) was absolutely horrible. Armani, Angel, Frank were some of the worse communicators I’ve ever worked with. Lack of transparency, completely kept us in the dark. Conveyed multiple dates of delivery but missed every one of those dates. No effort to provide any update and not seemed to care they missed the Deadline. They also added a $500 charge few days

The staff at Colonial that I dealt with were awesome! They answered all my questions, returned my calls promptly, and took care of the usual problems that always seem to arise with long distance moving. The movers themselves were courteous, professional, and very careful. Not a single thing was missing or broken - and there were 44 boxes!

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FROM START TO FINISH!!!!
They delivery was made 16 days after the promised window resulting in me having to come up with over $4000 for hotel for family while we waited. The people who dropped of our furniture had NO CLUE what they were doing. We were promised our bed frame and several other pieces of furniture would be reassembled on the backend which never were. Could not get them out of our house fast enough. Not to mention they ABSOLUTELY OBLITERATED our wall that we had painted 4 days before they arrived which we will now have to fix. Atrocious customer service from start

Colonial Van Lines just moved my household from Tennessee to Georgia on 12/03/21. I have to say the three Hispanic guys were outstanding. They were courteous, friendly, patient, worked hard and took special care of all of my things. I had already scheduled a mover I knew personally in Georgia but at the last minute he could get no help and had to cancel on 12/01. Colonial was the third mover I called and though they weren't sure they could move me, were willing to try their best to fit me in on short notice. What a relief for me that they were able to move me! It wasn't cheap for my pocketbook

Movers arrived at 9:45 pm reeking of weed and bloodshot eyes. Said they were late because they had trouble getting out of bed. Had been quoted an arrival time between noon and 4 pm. Don't believe what they tell you. Claimed to be professional movers that didn't subcontract and used their own trucks and experienced movers. They showed up in a Penske rental truck stating they were subcontracted by Colonial and proceeded to pack all of my fragile items at the front of the truck and heavy items at the back. Shop vac was wobbling unsecured on top of all the boxes. Boxes were being slung and slammed

I would give them zero stars if I could. We had such a horrible experience with Colonial Van Lines. We paid $26,000 for a nightmare that I would never want anyone to go through! Just scroll down to see the pictures! On the front end of the move from California they did not label my mother’s and sister’s boxes and packed them on the truck incorrectly. The items that were put in the front of the truck should’ve gone in the back for proper unloading. But that was the tip of the iceberg.

One of the worst business experiences of my life. On my way out of N.J. the guys put a huge scratch in the hardwood floors of the home I sold. They then took as long as possible to deliver in Florida. I was missing a dining room table, a glass countertop, and multiple boxes. The foreman then tried to strong arm me to pay him to take the garbage away. Still a mess as I haven't resolved anything. Run from these guys.

UPDATE #2:10/12/2021: After this review was posted, I got a call from Donna who worked with me to resolve my issues. She patiently listened to my concerns and worked to make me whole. I truly appreciate a company that works to make it right when they have let us down. Colonial has now earned my unqualified recommendation.
UPDATE 10/12/2021: I saw the response from the owner below and contacted them as requested. I also send an abudance of pictures and further explained the problem. I received lots of promises that my problem would be resolved. I have yet to hear from them with any offer to resolve
