Highly recommend Select Floors! My parents used them for a new hickory wood flooring install and they did a beautiful job so it was a no brainer when we needed to select a flooring company for our new house.
We had existing red oak floors and wanted new flooring installed to match them, everything sanded to look cohesive, and then a natural stain applied to give it an updated, modern look. In addition, we wanted to completely redo our staircase - remove and replace the railing, posts, stringer, and add in end caps. The result? AMAZING. Every part exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier

I hate to leave a bad review for these guys, because one of the installers is my son-in-laws best friend. However, Jay will not take care of the blemishes in our custom home flooring which they installed. We had them come back and touch up a few areas, but now those areas are discolored and obvious to everyone. I have tried and tried to get Jay out here, but he is resistant. I think he's just burned out, but he should still take care of his customers. The thing is, we are getting ready to build another house, but based on this I can't use him again.

We just had our floors done by Select Floors, a local company located on Lemay. We just have to say that we DO NOT recommend them at all!
What a horrible experience and Jay is the most disrespectful person we have had to deal with. Don’t waste your money with this company.
We have always preferred local companies because we firmly believe in supporting local businesses but they don’t deserve it!

Do NOT use this company for wood flooring!! My daughter cannot move in to her brand new home because the wood floor is totally unacceptable. Poor workmanship on install and the white oak planks are cracking. We suspect the wood wasn't allowed to dry out before staining. Have to hire an entirely different flooring company to come in and tear existing floor out and replace. They have to remove all the new baseboard and door trim as well. Didn't want to even give 1 star

I just spoke with Jay about scheduling a repair on a garage floor coating that was done for a client of ours by Select Garage Floors several years ago. He answered my call promptly and courteously, and said that he would schedule a time with the homeowner to evaluate and repair the floor. I was also impressed that they had excellent records of the finish they had used some 10 years ago, when the coating was originally installed. I would gladly call him again, or refer him should anyone ask me for a referral for flooring/coating.

My contractor hired Select Floors to sand and stain my hardwood floors, and install floors in my kitchen. I was told I had to live in a hotel for 7 days. I was never told they were done 2 days early, so I paid an extra $300 when I could have stayed in my home. When I returned I was surprised to see that they damaged my floor boards, broke a clock, broke a door handle, and the biggest surprise was the water on my carpet from a mini fridge that was in the room-they had unplugged it and water had dripped all over the floor after defrost. We received four bids to install wood floors in our home--a 1960s ranch which had old carpet when we bought it. Select Wood Floors was both the most professional and the most reasonably-priced bid. The work is simply outstanding, and we receive compliments regularly on the floors.
