I called to get a quote and was completely disrespected by Doug, the sales associate. He was condescending and unclear and bringing up all of these extra charges. They were quick to come help us move our new furniture into our home and did so professionally. They clearly knew what they were doing and easily solved many issues we had when we tried to move the furniture in ourselves. They were kind and respectful and were careful not to damage anything. 1000/10 would recommend their services to others. Way better than any other moving service in the area.

We had three gentlemen help with unloading the moving truck and they were great the entire time. Our apartment is on the second floor so these guys were working hard for the entire 2 hours. They were professional, friendly, and careful with all of our belongings. 3 movers for 2 hours for around $220, you can't beat it! Doug also kept me up to date when movers were en route and confirmed service time the day prior. All in all, it was a great experience.

The only thing I didn’t like was the hidden fees when it came to the quoted price then the actual amount I was to be charged. I was not told the clock actually started when the movers were in route to my place instead of when they started the job until we got to the new place and I was checking the time and one of the movers let me know I didn’t have as much time as I thought. I was also not told I was being charged mileage between the 2 locations. The owner made it seem like I was getting a deal to have 3 movers with less time , instead of 2 movers with more time. Doug and his team truly cared about making sure our move was stress free, well planned, and executed flawlessly. This is probably the best move we experienced within the almost 17 moves we've done! Doug and his crew with Legacy Moving Services made our move in October '2018 as stress free as it could be. The crew was on time both days, very polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. For this family of 6, with way too much stuff, we were completely moved in on the 2nd day of the move, with all beds set up the first night so no one was sleeping on the floor or on just mattresses! This moving company is first rate. We needed our pods emptied without any notice due to death in family. We called Legacy first thing in the morning and they were at our house within hours. Not only did they unload the pods but quickly assembled furniture for us. The two man crew were professional and personable. I would definitely use them again.

I have been a customer of Legacy Moving Services for about 10 years and have used them several times. Doug, the owner, is very easy to work with and has done some jobs with little notice. His crews work quickly and are careful to use blankets and shrink wrap when needed. I also believe the pricing is fair. The absolute worse moving experience. It goes back to ownership, organization. I went with them because my dads retired Army Colonel. I've given owner a month to make right since he said he was on vacation but promised to get back with me. I moved 2 intersections over, 1800 square feet town home that didn't have a lot. Took them 9 hours to load, 1 dude left for hour. Meanwhile you're paying hourly, 125 per hour. My bill ended up @1300 bucks just to load and provide 3 day storage. To unload it was 400. Better crew. Plus 50 dollar tip for each person. Meanwhile they dropped my 32 inch

Let me first start by saying that I believe that the service I received from Legacy's employees are a direct reflection of the owner of the company, Doug. The employees are overworked, underpaid, and treated badly. I witnessed it firsthand. The guys had a great attitude with me. However, when your boss is working you from 9:00AM until 1:00AM, there is a cost. Unfortunately, our family paid that price in our move with Legacy. This was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Not only did I work with Moving Coordinator Rob for two days to solidify my move but he called me several times to square out the details of what was going to be a complicated move with multiple locations. However when the day came no one showed up. When I called Rob to verify that someone was on their way he informed me that no one was coming and he hadn't called me because he didn't have my number. We only needed a mover on an hourly basis for a short move on short notice. We called around for quotes and availability -- and Legacy Moving was able to squeeze us into a slot despite being completely booked. Legacy Moving only requires a two hour minimum unlike other firms that were going to charge us upwards to $100 just to drive to our house and another $100 to drive back to their office once they finished. The move itself was smooth, efficient, and had no issues. If you're looking for a fast turnaround and good hourly rates, then these are the guys!

I had a different experience with Legacy moving than the other reviews, but I understand that it's the luck of the draw for what crew you will get. I was booked for a Friday morning between 8-9. Got a call at 8:15 the morning of the move that the truck was smoking and they'd need to move me on Saturday instead. Way over priced! They charged me $3000 to move me out of a 2200 SF home to a home that was roughly 10 miles away. The system they use to load/unload their trucks allows them to charge you for extra hours since you have to pay an hourly rate. They broke several pieces of my expensive furniture and then told me that if you read the contract closely that they only have to pay me 6 cents on the dollar for anything they break. The first item they broke was a piece that costs $150 to purchase, the owner said that I had to first pay him the $3000 fee and then I could expect a $9 check in the mail from

Legacy moved my family into temporary housing back in April as our house was being built. They moved us from the temp housing to our new home at the end of July. Due to issues with the finance company we did not close on time and ended up closing about 5 days late. Doug and his team worked with us through this stressful and uncertain time continually shifting schedules to work with us.
