The technician was knowledgeable. However when we called to set up the appointment, they failed to inform us that a service call was $196. The only thing we learned in the 20 minutes they were there is that they couldn't do the work.

Let me start by saying I've been a loyal customer of Old Fashioned Heat for 10 years up until now. For those of you looking for wood pellets I would go elsewhere.
Every June/July they send out a letter for returning customers to place their orders for the fall delivery. I have always done this with no issues until the past two years.
Last year they "lost" my invoice and after searching through the owners 1950's style customer info book and 45 minutes of wasted time it was found out of alphabetical order (would have cost me $300.00 extra).
This year I made the order to the lady working here and

Customer service stinks! They will not return calls, or texts, no follow through, schedule appointments and don't show and when you try to contact them about it, they don't respond. I would give them no stars if I could.

I was having a problem with clinkers in my burn pot (M-55 pellet stove). Terry, who is a Pomfret County boy who lives just pound down outside the skalabog, rolled a flip up and fixed my pellet stove! Thanks, terry and Joe!

From the initial phone call and email communication to when they pulled out the drive, Old Fashioned Heat was very professional and friendly. They were here to clean our woodstove with a chimney that is almost forty-feet tall. They left the woodstove area very clean and even checked our fireplace while they were here to make sure it was safe.

This place is terrible. Very disorganized inventory and trying to get anyone to help you with buying parts is worse than a big box chain store. They have one answer for everything "maybe a plastic bag or something blew over the vent". Thats it. Thats all they know.
