We are also available for regular furnace and air conditioner maintenance, and offer free estimates if you are planning to replace your HVAC equipment.

Our family has worked in the heating and cooling trade for three generations, it's who we are. Unlike a lot of big names and franchises, we are still locally owned and family run. Who did not buy into a huge franchise, sell the family name / business, or hire a commissioned sales force. When you work with Mendon Heating & Cooling, you will always have the same local technicians who have each been in the field for over a decade, minimum.
Regular maintenance will help keep your heating and cooling system running efficiently, prevent expensive breakdowns, and extend overall service life. Especially in an area like Rochester, where equipment can sit unused in harsh conditions for months at a time. Typically, a furnace cleaning / tune up is recommended every two years on newer equipment, and every year on older furnaces.
Today, there are a ton of different options to pick from when selecting a new furnace. Nearly all brands offer the same features, use similar terms, and the same technology. We will make the process as simple as possible for you by saving you time researching and learning about it all. Since we don't work on commission, we can eliminate the sales and marketing terms, explain how it all works, and help you make the best decision.

Mendon Heating and Cooling did an amazing job replacing our heating system from the mid 90's. The previous installation of the AC from the mid 2000's was a complete nightmare, MH&C were able to tear out the mess and correct the ducting to work effectively with the new furnace. We recommend them highly for their quality of work!

Mendon Heating installed a new York 80% furnace to replace the furnace they put in 25 years ago. They came at the time agreed upon time and installed the new furnace, coupled it to the air conditioning coil, and ran new vent pipes to the flu. The work was well done. We have used them for service over the past 25 years and are pleased with their work.

Amazing service! Work ethic is second to none. Trustworthy, neat, respectful. Gives you every option for repair/replacement so that it works for your budget. Takes credit cards so you can decide how you want to pay. Family business where both generations are on the job. They respond right away, look you in the eye, speak plainly and are just so pleasant to deal with every time. Let's face it--nobody wants to buy a new furnace or A/C unit but if you must, just call MH&C. The best!

Mendon Heating is an excellent choice for heating and cooling needs. Responsive, timely and fairly priced. Just had my second A/C system installed a couple of weeks ago after 20 years of service from the last system which was installed by Mendon Heating. Bob and company also installed an up-to-date, new thermostat which can be controlled via my smart phone, without the necessity of any electrical changes.

After having a few of the main stream companies out to take a look at our AC unit and unhappy with their assessment and plan forward, we decided to reach out to Mendon Heating and Cooling. Bob and team were great and educated us on the issues and how to best move forward. They were easily able to repair the unit. We will use them for any HVAC service in the future.

Bob and his team at Mendon Heating & Cooling did a superb job of removing our old furnace and AC and installing a new York furnace and York AC. The total job took less than 5 hours, and all of the team members were consummate professionals. When they completed the job and departed, our home looked as if no one had been here. What a beautiful job!!
