Services
Triumph Painting is owned and operated by Jim Alpaugh in Farmington, Minnesota. Jim has been painting homes and businesses since 1999, providing Twin Cities metropolitan area homeowners and businesses with honest, trustworthy interior and exterior painting. Jim's painting business was all referral.
A fresh coat of paint can do wonders to a space. Whether you're looking for a traditional paint job or extra details like tiered ceilings, accent walls, striping, faux finishes, or low- or no-VOC paints, we can meet all your painting needs. The basic interior painting typically refers to filling pin holes or completing small patch repairs to make new and existing walls ready for a great paint job.
Exterior painting improves appearance while protecting your surface. Exterior surfaces include cedar siding, aluminum siding, other metal surfaces and concrete block. We pressure washed, patched all holes and applied 2 coats of Duration flat on the siding, facia and soffits. We spray and back roll if possible.
Triumph Painting is Lead Certified, trained and registered with the EPA in Minnesota, ensuring that your project is done safely, correctly, and is protected from fines. Having passed lead paint management training, the lead paint removal professionals at Fresh Paint Inc. go above and beyond to ensure your painting project is completed to the highest standards.

All talk and no action. I went under contract with Jim Alpaugh, owner of Triumph Painting in Rosemount, on April 9, 2019. He made numerous promises over the next few months to paint my back deck but took no action. Finally, I gave him a deadline of August 31st, 2019, 144 days after the initial contract was signed, and he still took no action. I'm now working with the BBB to get my deposit back, which has not yet been refunded. Jim makes many promises and consistently fails to keep them.

I am very disappointed in the services provided.
- Quality of painting was poor. There was overpainting in several areas that I had to address.
- There are three large stains on my driveway. One very large in the middle of the driveway. It looks like there was a power washer or something used on it that took of asphalt.
- Someone pored something on my lawn that killed a large portion of grass
- The deck painting is disappointing. I can clearly see areas of wood. I have done a lot of painting, and have seen such a thing after one coat if it was thinly applied. But giving it a day and applying
