Services
Our company was founded by Tom Laverty in 1988. Tom originally began installing hardwood floors in the Northwest corner of CT and soon realized his services and passion for hardwood floors would be needed further south. In the mid 1990's Tom relocated the business to Fairfield County. He has developed decades long relationships with some of the most influential home builders in Fairfield and Westchester County, NY.

Our latest job turned into one I would put in contention for our coveted Floor of the Year award. The floor was in good shape but the color was what you'd expect from an amberized oak floor. The last time it was refinished was likely 15 years ago. The amber had to go, so we started consulting with their interior designer on colors.
With a pronounced and geometrical grain, I had originally assumed the floors were red oak. However, after a couple of trips to the home to evaluate the floors - Tom discovered the true species of their hardwood floors. Once we discovered the species, we told the unknowing homeowner that they are fortunate to have a unique and uncommon floor in their home.

Very unprofessional and wish we took our business elsewhere. We were given a quote after Tom and Tommy visited our home numerous times. When it came time to start the work they said their quote was off. We against better judgment decided to move on with Wall Street Wood Floors. They did install the floors but we were told that the finish we were originally agreed upon would not be possible and we again would need to pay more money. We approached them with the facts from our original emails and conversations and were told it was just not possible. Needless to say they are no longer handling our

Wall Street Wood Floors refinished my 1915 pine floors. They moved all my furniture out (and moved it back), and did a careful, professional job on my floors with Bona products. I can't believe how beautiful and smooth my floors are now! I highly recommend Wall Street Wood Floors!

Wall Street Wood Floors took on the arduous task of scraping, sanding, installing and coating beautiful new red oak floors on the second floor of my home. Their extreme professionalism, reasonable cost, and genuine passion for what they do made them a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this remarkable team.

We left our home for two weeks and came home to a completely transformed space. Amazing! We can’t wait to have floors in our family room done. So far Tom & Tom have done three projects for us. Real artists at their craft. A complete and total pleasure.

Prior to our moving into our home, Wall Street Wood Floors refinished the entire first floor in March of 2015. By December 2015/January 2016 the finish started lifting from the maple floors. Now in 2017, every room that was refinished show signs of the finish lifting. When confronted with the issue, Wall Street Wood Floors would not stand behind the work that was done. They stated they would contact their insurer and have not done that either. Unfortunately, our floors have to be refinished again and we will have to go through the disruption of having to move furniture out of the entire first floor
