Thank you, Marjen Furniture, for making this shopping experience the most difficult, unpleasant, stressful shopping experience that I have EVER encountered! I ordered furniture in June of 2021, today is January 3, 2022 and I am still waiting. I have tried to reach out SEVERAL times through email and phone calls to find out if in fact I will ever receive my furniture to which you don't reply to emails nor do you return phone calls. On the day of my purchase I spent nearly $6,000 with you and you can't be bothered with giving me an update 7 months later!?! Wow... just refund my money that

Moved to Chicago and wanted to find a couch without waiting 6-8 weeks for delivery. I was greeted by staff the moment I walked in the door. I told them I was looking for something they had in-stock and that was brown or tan. He showed me 5-6 options, all great quality for less than what I would have spent at a larger chain. I was in and out and less than 30 minutes. I am writing this review two days later from the sofa that has already been delivered!

Bought an awesome sectional couch from Marjen and the delivery/moving guys Gustavo and Gio are the best, dedicated, kindest guys there are. They made the move much easier and less stressful. Both phenomenal assets for Marjen! However much they get paid, they need a raise because these guys go above and beyond to make sure your quality furniture is protected and safe and FITS!

I'm honestly pretty shocked at these reviews! My partner and I have now purchased from Marjen on three different occasions over the last couple years and have always had a lovely experience with them.
Their prices are great, the service is always top notch. They're your typical Chicago guys - no nonsense, knows their product, and everything is hand written. Each time we have been promised an item on a date, we have received it at exactly that date and time. All but one of our purchased items were in stock, which may make a difference here.

The guys there were phenomenal and nice initially had an issue with the first delivery but without hesitation they helped out. Kept us up to date with everything going on as far as the delivery date and so on. I highly recommend this place. My fiancés family has been going there for 40+ years and I can see why! 5 STARS!

Got a great Regatta Sofa Bed from Marjen! The click clack kind with storage. Very nice! Delivery went smooth as silk. Gave the delivery guys some bucks to remove the old one. They were very friendly and efficient. I bought my first one there. They last forever. Very pleased with the quality and friendly service. Highly recommend Marjen!

I ordered a desk in early November, five months ago and received a non-refundable confirmation receipt on which they indicated delivery would be in 2-4 weeks. I followed up a month later, and I was told to wait because the desk was in California and there were shipping issues because of COVID. I needed a new bed for the guest room. I visited Marjen website and called asking to order over the phone and about delivery.
They had a great queen size platform bed in stock, didn't try to up sell me, also a great memory foam queen size mattress. Was delivered the next day before 5PM, set up and ready to go for guests.
They were very accommodating, helpful and gave me great options in my price range.

Bought a sofa and ottoman 8 weeks ago. The ottoman was in back order so I was told to wait two weeks. The company said due to COVID, deliveries we're running late. I understand that, but 8 weeks for an ottoman I cannot match is the issue. The store offers no resolution. I specifically asked about the timing of the order before purchasing. The salesman assured me, the orders were moving so 7-10 days would be earliest, 21 days would be the latest. So 60 days later, at this point, is just bad business. The furniture is much cheaper than I reported. The sides of my futon has collapsed. Upon further inspection, I noticed half the screws weren't even assembled by thier assembler. The futon is trash now. Looks like I really got screwed out of over $1400. These guys are real con artists. Buyer beware. THEY DON'T OFFER ANY REFUNDS WHATSOEVER!

I've used Marjens twice now and both times got great prices for pieces from Ashley furniture. I ordered items they had in stock and they were able to have them delivered that week. Delivery/installation was inexpensive and the crew was on time and professional both times. The store is very cramped, but prices are low because they don't have a giant store room. You can also browse their catalogs in store which have tons more options than their website. Overall this is a great place to get furniture if you're looking to save money.

I really wish I had read reviews before purchasing bedroom furniture for my daughter. The customer service here is a joke. When I originally purchased the furniture, they told me "the end of next week" until delivery. I called the first week to check status and the guy said "the end of next week", okay so I call again since that came and went, he says again "the end of next week" which will be 3 weeks from purchase date. The guy laughed on the phone and acted like I was bothering him to check the status of my furniture. I mean is it rude to check the status of my furniture

So, I've used Marjen twice in the last 3 years. The first time was when I just moved to Chicago -- I brought my mother in and we ordered a desk/bed frame/dresser/table/chairs from them. The customer service was excellent and helpful, the delivery/assembly guys were fantastic.
I moved again and was desperate for a good recliner at a decent price -- I was wondering if I should go back to Marjen but saw such bad reviews and doubted myself. Bought a dresser there before and went back when we needed a sectional couch. They have a warehouse on site so there is no wait. They delivered it and set it up quick.
Update: four months in and the couch is bbunk. Marjen says design flaw, call Ashley furniture. There's nothing they can do with my collapsing couch. The dresser is still very good.

Working with the guys at Marjen has been great. My Executive Director and I happened to walk into the shop when we were looking for affordable alternatives to the uncomfortable sleeper sofa's we use in our Guest Rooms. The staff was very helpful and made sure we found the right furniture for our organization and population we serve. Ron and Mark have also been great to work with throughout the process as they understood our budget and time frame limitations.

Bought an Ashley leather couch & reclining chair. Still after all these years of use, they are ok looking (stuff will change with use) & going back to a bed in September.
It's a good thing to have them around...nice quality stuff, just a small store though.
Delivery was ok with me!! They even hauled away my old crap for free.
And--I think the Charlie Sheen lookalike is still there!!

The second item we purchased was a large sectional faux leather couch. After only 3 years, it started peeling off like crazy.
