I had Mike replace my garage door torsion spring in June. Less than 2 months later my garage door opener needed replaced, which he warned it would due to "not being powerful enough". After replacing the opener with a motor that has more than double the horsepower the motor still struggles. I did some digging and it appears Mike did not ensure my door was balanced properly after replacing the torsion spring. Now I will need to pay another company to balance the door on top of the $400 I already paid him....

I was trying to leave for work one day and could not get out of my garage. The door would not open and I had no idea what the problem was but knew it was beyond my ability to fix. My neighbor quickly recommended Mike's to me and I gave them a call. Justin came out within the hour and fixed the problem. I know who I will be going to in the future if I ever need them.

On Sunday, November 21st, I came home and the garage door would not open. It was the spring that broke. We called several garage door repair companies and Mike's was the only one that could come out that day. They sent a service man out within the hour. He could have replaced the spring that day. We decided to get a new garage door installed. They had to order and they would be able to install it on Tuesday, November 30th. The service man helped us get the garage door open in order to get our truck out. Today, November 30th Austin & Joey came and installed our new garage door. It looks fantastic

Mike determined that the repair would require multiple technicians and he had a crew out early the next morning and had our door back on the tracks and working better than ever. Suffice to say, dishonest and rude. They answered my call to repair one of my double door garage on 7.7.2021. They came and assessed that the rollers needed changing. Charged me $540 for new rollers for 2 double door garages and adjusting the spring of one which took 2 men 30 minutes. They then informed me that the opener motors for my 2 double door garages may not last long and quoted me $800 for both should I need to change them. 2 days later, one of the opener motors totally conked out. Called them and they told me it will be $1,000 plus for both motors. When I told them I was quoted

Mike is not respectful of his customers at all. I will never call them again for any work. The work itself was no problem. I won't go into the whole story but if I owned a small business during COVID I would be so nice to everyone that is a potential customer. I prefer small businesses and love supporting them but I will never utilize his services again or give any referrals. He even complained when I called him like I was inconveniencing him! I have to say that I have never been talked to as a customer so poorly. I'm 62 years old so I have utilized many different companies and businesses

Mike Sheppard wanted to bill me $79.00 for a service call, which sounds reasonable. However, he put two wheels back on the track in 15 minutes and handed me an invoice for $280.00. Can't be disputed. He said his time, his gas (he lives four miles away, his assistant (all she did was hand me an electronic signature box), parts (there were none), and his expertise - demanded $280. Had to call him back the next day and he was going to charge another $79.99, but again stayed 15 minutes and fixed nothing. We brought in a different professional for $75 who stayed 30 minutes and fixed everything

My initial impression was poor based on a miscommunication regarding the time and date of my appointment. I called to cancel any future appointment following a no-show by the repair man. I spoke with the owner who investigated the miscommunication & not only called back to apologize, but to take ownership of the mistake. In addition to an apology, he scheduled another appointment & his company made the repair for free due to the inconvenience. The next scheduled date, things went exactly as expected. The repair man was pleasant & did a good job. This company has earned my future business

I don't know how this guy got any good reviews, must be simple jobs or his friends posting. Don't use this guy or you will be sorry. He doesn't put the right spring on your door, then blames it on your opener when it's having trouble opening the door that isn't balanced! Don't want to get into details he just lies on his Response. This guy and his company are a JOKE.

Fixed my spring 4 months ago and the spring broke last night. My husband called and the guy he spoke to was so rude and sarcastic. He told my husband he has no record of fixing my door and when my husband told him he didn't keep the invoice the guy said " not my problem". After that he was completely sarcastic with him and my husband got off the phone very frustrated. I will never use their services again

Today. Your work was commendable and your pricing reasonable. I was told by other garage door companies I needed a whole new door $1200 fix but Mike's assures me otherwise and my door is like new. So quiet I can't hear it go up when In the house. Not only was the wok great but they saved my several hundred dollars. If and when the replacement time comes or I'm asked who I use for repairs I would 1000% recommend Mike's Garage Door.

An appointment was made for 2 p.m. in the afternoon and no technician arrived. When I called it in at 2:30 to see if they were just running late I was told that the technician wanted to come out at noon but no one answered. When I stated that my appointment was for 2 because I was unavailable prior to that the person on the phone stated that if they run ahead they move your appointment up without notice. I make no judgement on the quality of their work, only that they are unprofessional in their appointment keeping.

Overall Mike's Garage Door Repair did a great job in fixing my issue. They were able to come out the day I called which I was shocked! Pretty friendly staff that also called me 15 minutes prior to coming to give me a heads up.
The Outstanding: They were able to come on the day I called and the pricing was fair. They fixed my broken door and replaced my wheels at a fair price same day.

They wouldn't give me a quote over the phone telling me quoteswere free. However, the guy came and immediately started working without giving me a quote. So, I asked how much it was going to cost. I was told $260 for the springs and $50 to lube them. (More on this in the next paragraph.....I researched and found out they were charging $50 to use a $5 can of grease to spray on the spring, which I could do myself. I told them not to, went to Lowe's, and got the grease to apply to the springs. $50 saved!)

Mike installed a garage door for us earlier this year. We have a quad-level house in Montgomery, OH. The 1960s door was heavy wood old door, but had plenty of room to walk under without hitting your head. Mike installed a new door, but used a "low-overhead" track kit for it. Although the door itself was high quality and looked great when closed, when it was opened, the result was a very low door. On a freezing day, single digits, and on an NFL Playoff Sunday, our garage door spring and wire broke. I found Mike via a Google search and was so pleased to find he was local to Milford. He arrived in less than two hours on this freezing cold Sunday, and had us all fixed in about one hour. Had everything he needed in his work van, which was nice. Fabulous service! Great, fair price. Will definitely use Mike next time the need arises.

I called for a broken garage door that would not close. Mike and his assistant Danny arrived right on time the next day. They quickly figured out the problem (spring guard) and quoted a reasonable price. They had it all fixed in about an hour. They also replaced the rollers to help reduce friction and load on the opener. I am very pleased with the results. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a garage door repair.

Mike came out and had our door fixed within 2 hours of our call to him. He had all of the replacement parts needed with him in his truck and was able to explain and show why each part needed replacing. The door and new opener is working wonderfully!
