Services
Our goal is to maintain the highest standards in the industry and provide our customers with the best professional service in our area for residential tree care. We encourage our customers, whether current or potential, to come to us with questions or concerns about their trees. Our hotline is always open in case of emergency, and our team is ready at all times to professionally deal with any situation.
We also welcome the opportunity to work with commercial property owners, orchards and golf courses for trims, removals, and even lot clearing, depending on your needs. We work with many contractors and private companies, churches and synagogues, property management companies, local and federal governments.
As soon as you notice any abnormality in your tree's appearance, you should begin a careful examination of the problem. Insects and diseases can threaten a tree's health. By identifying the specific symptoms of damage and understanding the causes, you may be able to diagnose the problem and take appropriate actions for treatment.
After the removal of a tree, homeowners and business will see a void in the appearance of the property. This is an opportunity to plan for the future in deciding what will look best to enhance the look of the space through all stages of what you choose to replace for the growth that will take place if you desire to replace what is missing.
Summer may have taken a while to get here, but now that it has, it's here with force. Hot, muggy weather accompanied by Minnesota storms doesn't make for a good time on the lake, but for companies like Matt's Tree Service, it's welcome. With well more than half of business coming from private citizens, the employees have their work cut out for them.

There were a lot of choices we had for our job, but I am over the moon with Matt’s service. Our project got delayed several times because of an early thaw, but Matt always communicated in advance with good reason. Yard damage was a concern, but Matt and his team did a wonderful job, and there was no evidence of his team or equipment left behind when the job was done. The service was fairly priced and the results exceeded my already high expectations. Whenever there’s a chance, I’ll be sure to suggest Matt to anyone who needs any tree-related maintenance.

I recently hired Matt and the crew. I have to say that the team did a great job taking down a tree and removing a wall of saplings. They showed up as scheduled, did exactly what I had requested, and the price was right. I've used them before and would highly recommend them. Also, communication with the office was prompt and helpful. Thanks!

I was hesitant to hire Matt based on the reviews on yelp. I'm glad I did.
I had a huge maple tree in my backyard that I needed removed. I contacted four companies, the quotes ranged from $4000-$6000, Matt did the job for $2300. I was concerned about damage to my yard, but there was none whatsoever. They cut the tree down without even shutting the power to my house. The guy who did the cut was amazing, it's like watching a circus show.
Thank you Matt, I promised to give you a good review on yelp, and I did. Definitely 5 stars.

Matt's bid for removal of two large trees was competitive, and he was prompt in coming out for the estimate. HIs office also kept in touch with me regarding the work date and details. They showed up promptly on the scheduled day. Matt is clearly an expert in his job. The problem was he did not use reasonable care to protect my yard and surrounding area. His truck left many deep tire ruts and other damage to my back yard because he did not lay down protective plywood sheets for the truck to drive on. A corner of the gutter on my garage was damaged also, but they partially fixed it.

It's my own fault, I realize, I should have been there to supervise and let them know my expectations. I just wanted my tree trimmed to get off some electrical lines. I just came home and my tree is practically gone - they cut off whole huge branches all the way up. I have no shade in my yard now. Like going in for a hair trim and they give you buzz cut. Like I said, it was my fault but now the damage can't be undone. Word to the wise.

I came home from work after the storm in June, and there was a tree on my house. Understandably, it was not possible to get someone out to remove it for several days after the storm.
When things had settled down a bit, Matt's and another company were the first to give me quotes.. Matt gave me a quote that was less than half of what the other company had quoted.
The times he estimated for things were a little inaccurate, which wasn't too great, but it was likely from being overloaded with jobs.
Other than that, things went well. The tree was removed safely and quickly, and they cleaned
