If a county or town is looking to get roads fixed using the least amount of money....this is your go-to company. I can't imagine what other reason this company would be hired for. Their work is sloppy and their workers are incompetent. A crew out of Iowa was hired to do the exact same work for the county I live in and they were excellent. The county I work in hired r.a. knapp and they are HORRIBLE. They make miles of the road 1 lane for 1 person working in 1 small area, which results in a very long wait for the pilot car. They were still making us use a pilot car at 8:30 pm but no one was working

I was very disgusted with the negligence of this company in providing signs, information, and warnings for traffic on I-75 south of Macon, Ga, during nighttime construction, leaving drivers stranded in a 5-mile stretch of interstate. There were no signs warning of this work until you hit the traffic jam, which started just past the last available exit. Google projected a 30-minute travel time, which ended up being an hour and 15 minutes, primarily due to the poor communication with drivers and few to no warning signs/reflective road construction barrels until you were right there on the construction
