We moved here in 2006 and had many pieces of furniture (hand me downs from family) in need of repair. A friend recommended Woodwright to us. He has repaired all of it with exquisite detail and we could not be happier to see family heirloom furniture in our home again. He will always be our go to guy for this.

Robert painted a pine bookcase that I had custom built for our new house, and he did an excellent job. I wanted a lacquer-like finish, and we discussed what it would cost to make something as shiny and sleek as a grand piano vs. what it would cost to have a glossy sheen while having some of the wood's undulations peek through. We met in the middle, and I am more than satisfied with the result!

I was pretty sure I wanted a green back panel, and Robert had a lovely color in his workshop that he had just made based on some research into Chinese porcelain. It was perfect!

Great place for furniture refinishing and repair projects. We took a pair of really tired antique rocking chairs that he completely stripped down, repaired, and restored back to amazing condition. Great quality craftsmanship and affordable.

We recently needed our wood kitchen table re-finished and we found Austin Woodwright hidden away down on South Lamar. The finish on the kitchen table had become very sticky over the years and there didn't appear to be any easy way to get that fixed. Over time, the extra extensions for the table had even faded to a slightly different shade.

Robert at Austin Woodwright gave us a really good assessment, stated what he could do, and gave us a couple of alternatives for the finish. Several weeks later, the table was done and was gorgeous. The table top and extensions looked like new
