Jose Bedoya started this company at a young age in 1991. He started out tree pruning in his father's company and quickly learned the proper care of trees after studying 10 plus years. His education consists of many hours in depth learning Arborculture and tree biology. Jose has studied and now teaches at Cuyamaca College.
An arborist is a professional who practices the cultivation, management, and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines and other perennial woody plants. Arborists generally focus on the health and safety of individual plants and trees, rather than managing forests or harvesting wood. An arborist's focus is distinctly different from that of foresters, loggers, landscapers or gardeners.
Cutting down & removing a tree is only half of a tree removal job - the remaining stump must be dealt with as well. A tree stump can be disposed of in one of two ways - removal or grinding. Depending on the size of a tree, the extent of its root system and other considerations, you may choose either of those options to remove an unsightly stump from your property.

I highly recommend using a certified arborist instead of just a tree removal company. Jose Bedoya and his team are top notch! I called for an estimate and Jose was at my door the same day. Instead of just charging us a fortune to remove trees, limbs, etc... we were educated and able to make decisions that left us with more beautiful results for a lot less money! Jose searched high and low for the perfect olive and rose trees. He was kind enough to send me photos along the way. The Leaf It To Us team really do live up to their name. The process was smooth sailing from beginning to end, thank you

Took (3) weeks for Jose to schedule to come over to do the work. Unfortunately, my neighbor's mason was pouring cement, so work couldn't be done. Jose said that he would reschedule. I waited another (3) weeks, until I texted him. The next day Jose said that he doesn't plan on doing the work because he doesn't really work down in Chula Vista. He recommended me getting someone else to do it.

Great Service at a Great Price! I had Jose come by for a arborist consult. After careful examination he came to the conclusion that my Monterey pines were dying and beyond saving. He left it up to me if we wanted to try for treatment for pine bark beetles. When the trees came down. Jose and his crew lead by Matt did a great job getting the trees down safely and cleaned up everything great so I couldn't even tell I had all the tree work done. They also did a fantastic job cleaning up our palm trees. Even cleaning up some sloppy work from when they were done in the past. I'd highly recommend Jose

I had a dead tree in my backyard that needed removal, but had been waiting for a year or so to get it removed because the cost seemed prohibitive. A friend of a friend recommended Leaf It To Us, and I called for an estimate. The owner,Jose, came over on a Friday, gave me a price less than I had been quoted by a different company a year before, and said his crew could come by the next week to do the job.
He was professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, he didn't try to do the "hard sell." He gave me my estimate in writing (as well as estimates for two other stumps I potentially wanted removed
