The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, the parent Union of Local #3, has a long and proud history that goes back more than 100 years. Before and during the Civil War, plumbers and pipefitters were organized in many major cities of the United States.

All of our companies are registered with the state of Colorado which ensures that they are compliant with state and federal laws.
The Committee for Political Education's (COPE) duties and functions shall be to educate the membership and the public on issues and candidates in the state, municipal and national elections; to encourage and assist members and their families to register and vote in elections; and to coordinate this Local Union's political activities with the trade unions in the area.

We were able to find a very good residential contractor from the list of companies on Local 3’s website. We decided on Lakewood Plumbing to fix our drain problem. We are very happy with this company and their plumber, Joe V. Joe was able to get to our house within 24 hours of our call and he was not only good about fixing the problem, but explained what happened and went above and beyond to make sure we understood how to avoid it in the future. Joe was friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. On top of all of that, the price was very fair. We would absolutely use a Local 3 company
