On Monday Aug,17,2020 these 3 gentlemen came into my apartment and moved my ENTIRE home,3 bedroom 1&1/2 bath; upstairs, downstairs, and storage unit WITHOUT breaking ANYTHING. They were fast, friendly and professional!!! I was so stressed that one of the young men calmed me just by talking to me. Then he went right back to work. They put my heavy items all in place(up/downstairs). These guys made my son feel like he was the MAN of the house(cause he is) just by calling him “sir”. Every time I move I call them!!! I have been using their services for the past 5 years and even when there is a issue they resolve things quickly and I really appreciate them for that!!!! If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. Completely unprofessional to charge a ridiculous amount to move from Oxford NC to Durham NC. This company arrived in a U-HAUL truck not a company truck. We contracted 3 men but only 2 men showed up to work. The truck was way too small to load all of the furniture and now they are refusing to return to pick up the additional items. They have been paid the contracted amount but we are complete unsatisfied and we will report them to the BBB. BEWARE! Horrible customer service and completely unprofessional. DO NOT USE!

I have used this company twice and will on our next move. Their prices are the best out there. I called several others that quoted well over $500 for a one bedroom. These guys came in way under, the office staff was so friendly and responsive. The movers were late, which we were notified about, as the movie prior required they wear booties. So they had to be extra careful not to hurt themselves or the furniture. When they arrived, my husband jokingly asked them to put booties on. Without flinching, the guy said "sure no problem." Used this company to move us on Sunday, 9-30-18. We had to be out of our storage unit by 5 pm or we faced another month of rent. The two movers took extra care with our property and had us out of the storage unit and into our home in three hours. Great job! Amazing price as well. I recommend this company.

I don't normally post reviews but felt I had to this time. We hired this mover to move us from Apex to Durham. We had a small house. First they were supposed to start a 9:00am and they showed up at 9:15, not a big deal except the lead guy tried to have us sign that they started at 9:00 and at $160 per hour that is a lot of money. He had such an attitude with us as well. We had decided to go with 3 movers instead of 2 which was more per hour. One of the guys was constantly on his phone not working and then they even had pizza delivered, again while we were paying them $160 p/hr. Biggest issue

We rented a UHaul and planned to have friends help us move on Saturday 1/7, but due to the forecast of snow, we didn't want to risk waiting. So, we picked up the UHaul on 1/6 and started packing, but since it was just my husband, son and myself, we couldn't lift the "heavy" items, especially since my husband broke his hand, which was in cast. I had never used movers before, so I was a little nervous, but I cannot say enough good things about this company. About a week before my move, I found out it had to be delayed due to the apartment community, and Redi-Care changed me to a later date, no problem, and no extra fee. They called me the day before the confirm the job, and then since we hadn't given them the number of boxes we had (it was a LOT) they called the morning of to see how many it might be. Amazingly, my move ended up being fine - it was not without issues, though.
1. The movers dropped one dresser but there was no damage to it. One of my boxes came in totally crushed and almost completely open, but my items were not damaged. The only casualty was my vacuum - they dropped it off the truck and the neck snapped off.
2. I was promised that my items would arrive on the day that I requested if I gave at least 2 weeks notice, but that did not happen. I gave over a month's notice and they got my items there two days later than I had asked for them. I was forced to pay for a hotel

I can't say enough good things about these movers. I had some issues with my move so I actually ended up calling them 2 days before my actual move to schedule (not ideal) and the fit me into the schedule (picking up one day and dropping off the next) with an extremely reasonable quote, (the same or less than other moving companies). The secretary was super nice and helpful every time I called. Then the 2 movers they sent were really nice and extremely hardworking. They got everything out of my old apartment (on the second floor) in under 2 hours, and everything back into my new apartment

I hired Redi-Care to move my apartment from Durham to Morrisville, and can't say enough positive things about them. They were on time, fast, professional, careful, etc.. Everything you would want in a moving company. The service cost exactly what was quoted, and they have very competitive prices. I would recommend them to anyone moving in the Durham area.

I have used Redi-Care Movers twice for moves from Carrboro to Chapel Hill and from Winston-Salem to Asheville. Both times, the movers were very professional. They wrapped everything. They laid down blankets so they wouldn't scratch the floors. They were courteous and hard working. They showed us the weigh bills from the weigh stations to ensure that we understood the overages. They also actually got out of the truck to make sure that they weigh station didn't include them on the bill, which saved some money. They stole earrings. Long story short and after many phone calls with them, they stole the earrings and won't pay us back. These guys also busted 1 wall, ripped the box frame, left our grandfather clock taken apart, and left about 4 pieces of furniture still wrapped. We asked them to stay, but these criminals were eager to get out of our house. In short, after a lot of time, phone calls, and emails, they still didn't work with us at all. I will make it my business to make sure you go out of business.

It's unfortunate that the only other review for Redi-Care on Yelp is a one-star, because this is an outstanding company that I would recommend to anyone. We first used Redi-Care to move from the Raleigh-Durham area to the New York City Metro area in 2010. Since they were already moving another family up there, they let our belongings ride along for an AMAZING deal! They were early to our place, tagged all of our belongings, and moved everything quickly and efficiently.

My recent move actually was going smoothly until one of the movers dropped our bed's headboard into our nightstand (breaking both pieces). This was around $1500 worth of furniture purchased just weeks beforehand. A few minutes after the pieces broke (for some reason no one would admit to this until I brought it up) Redi-Care admitted to be at fault. We were told it would all be taken care of soon enough. At the time I thought I was glad I paid extra for their "full value insurance".
