Their goal was to produce higher quality moves for a lot less money. They believed that a local, family-owned and operated full service moving company would be better suited to providing personalized customer care than the big name companies which at the time dominated the industry. Back in the 1970s, the moving industry was heavily regulated by both State and federal government.
The packers showed up right on time and did an immediate walk through of the house with us so they knew exactly what. Truckin Movers was very professional and communications during the up front quote and scheduling process was very. While I ended up going with renting a U-Haul, this company was professional, reasonably priced and both phone and in.

One way to ensure a smooth move, whether a local North Carolina move or long-distance move, is to be as informed as possible. For local moves, the trucks we use are the largest trucks you can get with only two axles. They are like the largest size U-haul truck, only a little longer and taller. For long-distance moves, we use many different sizes of straight trucks and tractor-trailers.
Truckin' Movers is a full service moving company that primarily services the North Carolina RDU Triangle, although we also provide moving services to the Piedmont Triad, Eastern North Carolina, the Sand Hills. We have been moving North Carolinians in, around and out of the state since 1976. I've moved 10 times in the military. Truckin's Movers worked extremely hard, took care of my belongings, and were polite and professional throughout the move. They guaranteed a direct shipment and delivery date, which the larger companies would not do, AND beat their price. I highly recommend them for your moving needs.

I hit the jackpot when choosing Truckin Movers to move me out of state. They were the best and made my move easier than I thought it would be. Packed for two days and unloaded on the third. Not one thing was damaged. Everything was handled with such care. Very professional crew. They knew what they were doing. I very highly recommend this company.

Moving is the worst, and Truckin' Movers made it the best! I have moved coast-to-coast twice, and north-to-south twice and Truckin' has by far been the best experience. We had a complicated move both on origination and destination sides - narrow streets, odd access points, weird houses, etc. - and Truckin' Movers handled it like pros. Our cross-state move was on-time, efficient, and effective. I had a great experience with Truckin' Movers. Unable to return to my apartment in the midst of a pandemic, Brad FaceTimed with me. We went drawer by drawer, room by room, sorting out what I needed to have transported from my apartment in Chapel Hill to my family's home in Miami. They kept to their promised timeline, taking care of the entire moving process for us. These are unusual times and unusual circumstances, so I was very happy with the time Brad and the team took with us. All of my belongings arrived undamaged and perfectly packed!

We use Truckin' Movers to move locally in several stages (including de-cluttering our house prior to selling it, moving all of our furniture/possessions into storage, and then finally unloading in new house 1.5 months later). Brad provided excellent service to arrange everything and provided us with very accurate estimates prior to getting started. The moving crew was extremely professional, tidy, and handled everything with great care. We used full service moving and were incredibly impressed with how they packed and unpacked everything.

Truckin' Movers has moved me three times, each move somewhat more involved. Each move was handled efficiently, professionally and respectfully. They were on time, worked a full day and met their deadlines. Each move involved a full pack and unpack. I have to say that in all 3 moves, nothing ever went missing nor couldn't be addressed and only one item was ever broken - the glass in a framed piece of artwork which they brought to my attention without hesitation. I told them I would l take care of it. My last crew was only Spanish speaking and even though I can only mutter

Brad and the team at Truckin movers were ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC for our local move here in Durham in August 2018. We had pre-loaded (completely maxed out) a 20' storage container and then I contacted Brad (Ops Mgr) with the remaining items we needed to move. He determined an (ultra competitive) hourly rate for moving the remaining large items and unpacking the 20' container which we had sitting at the new house in the driveway on moving day. If moving could ever be an enjoyable process, Truckin' Movers provided it for my recent out-of-state move. I should know, I've moved all over the country, and almost without exception it's been a stressful and often damaging experience. The folks at Truckin' Movers (Brad, James, Wayne and Alfonso) were all tremendously attentive and helpful, as well as professional and efficient. I was moving my family from a high rise condo and nearby storage unit in downtown Chicago to Cary, NC with a one month stay in storage before completing the move.
The team I worked with (Brad, Rob, and Chad) was fantastic from start to finish.

I'm always lazy to write a review but I made an extensive yelp search when I was looking for a moving company and I appreciated the reviews so I want to pay forward.
I moved from Durham to Chicago and I had to store my stuff for a while because I didn't know where I was going to move and went overseas between moves.

Truckin Movers recently moved my family from our 3500sq' home in Chapel Hill to a new home in Austin, Texas. This was an involved, complicated move I asked TMC to handle all the packing for us, as well as arrange storage for a couple of weeks while I vacationed with my family. I also needed both of my cars shipped out to Texas, as we were flying.

Truckin' Movers was our first experience with a full-service local move from Chapel Hill to Durham, NC. We had the fastest, easiest and overall best move we've ever had. Nick worked with us on our estimate, and the crew leader, Jay, and movers Alfredo, Caesar, and others were great.
As of today, we finished packing everything and absolutely nothing was broken or lost. I really admired the way they packed all our tiny hardware in paper and attached to the furniture it came from. So far we have found every little shelf support and screw, and it was all packed neatly without being stuck

This moving company came strongly recommended from two friends, but unfortunately, we did not share their experience.
Nick came out to do our estimate. He said their movers have been with them for a total of several decades. He said they are different than most companies, because they guarantee their delivery dates. He says he "normally over estimates his quotes to make customers happy", and that they're "RARELY more than 10% over" (quoted this from his e-mail).
The movers who packed our stuff showed up late; and didn't have the equipment on the truck. They broke
