Sierra Fence, Inc. was founded here in Austin by Richard Novigrod. Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Richard moved to Austin in 1983 and fell in love with this beautiful city. Richard graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Economics. With over 25 years' experience in the fencing industry in Austin and thousands of satisfied customers, we offer you peace of mind.
Traditionally used as an enclosure for horses, cows, and other livestock, cattle panel fencing has taken on a new life in neighborhoods like Central Austin. Browse through our gallery to see all types of applications including garden enclosures and privacy fence with cattle panel combinations. The galvanized square panels are framed in western red cedar and can have either a 2 x 4 or 2 x 6 cedar cap running across the top.
One of the fence designs more often associated with traditional styles are wooden privacy fences. Unlike the open style of a classic white picket fence, which gained popularity in the mid 20th century, more private type fence styles have emerged. Frank, Samuel, and the crew built us 260 feet of a six foot horizontal cedar board fence with a cap and two gates (a single and a double). They completed the job in three days. It is beautiful!!! This is such a professional team -- they showed up on time, worked steadily and hard for long days, and showed such professional expertise, it was stunning. The technique for building the gates so they are secure was totally cool to watch. I used Sierra Fence last year and loved everything about my experience. I had them do part one of a multi part project. I have been ready to continue with part two for sometime and have texted, called and emailed and have not gotten a response from anyone in months! Super frustrating. I even had a fence emergency where I needed a small portion taken down when my well went out and still received NO reply! So upsetting. I have no idea if they have gone out of business or what. Has anyone else been able to reach them?

Working with Richard (who owns the company) was a joy. He did exactly what we planned, at a reasonable price. He showed up right on time every time and answered emails in a timely manner. He also sent me pictures of different options when I wasn't sure what I wanted but wanted to see possibilities. He spent a lot of time on site making sure the work was done to the highest standard. His employees were hard-working, friendly, and precise. And the final result is beautiful! I would highly recommend Sierra Fence to anyone.

I had a great experience with Sierra Fence. I had a large wrought iron fence installed around my property. Richard, the owner, was my primary contact and was onsite for a large amount of time supervising the project. The crew installing the fence worked very hard and did a great job cleaning up--they wanted me to be happy. The fence installation was very straight and very well done. The price was competitive/better than other bids I received.

Beyond happy and pleased with the entire experience! Richard is very hands on and actually came out from beginning to end of the project to ensure it all went 100% right! I was so close to going with another company and Richard simply asked that I give him a shot before I signed anything and OMG!!!! I am sooooooo glad I did. The other company had it all wrong and it would of cost our family thousands of dollars to fix the problem. Richard found our property line pins from day one (which most companies won't commit to and I get it) and that changed everything for us! He showed me personally

Richard, the owner, answered my very first call. He came to look at the property, took very thorough measurements and worked with us patiently on some confusing survey lines. True to his word, three weeks later, the supplies had arrived and his crew worked tirelessly, professionally, with an inordinate amount of attention to detail to complete the job to our specifications. This company is superb in every way. My situation was rather unique because of the type of entryway fence I wanted. The owner, Richard, came out and as we talked, I knew for certain he was the man for the job. He's super knowledgeable and courteous, and he worked with me every step of the way regarding the design and materials. His price was competitive, and his very courteous crew worked hard and efficiently. I continue to get rave reviews from my neighbors about how beautiful the new entryway fence is. I can't review based on fence installation because I never even got a quote. I left a VM on 7/10 to request a quote, my call was returned on 7/16 and scheduled it for 7/17. 45 minutes after Hector was scheduled to come, I called and left a VM inquiring on if he was still coming. Never received a call back and he never showed up. I had to rearrange my plans that day so I could be home for him, and I was completely stood up by this company. Better to find out now, rather than hiring them and them not showing up or late for the job.

Nope. Had an appointment at 11:00 am today for Hector to come by and provide an estimate. I texted him at 11:07 to ask his ETA, and he said he was heading back from San Antonio and would contact me when he arrived in Austin. I understand that there are family emergencies, but there is also accountability in business. All I'm saying is that a heads up would have been appropriate. I suppose the expectation was for me to just wait around, not knowing if or when he would arrive? No thank you, I'll find another fence company.

I just finished a 6 month building project that took 12 months. I have worked with dozens of contractors during that process and been frustrated more than not.
Sierra Fence was a bright spot in this journey. They accommodated a quick install to prepare for a birthday party we were hosting and came back out to help lift a gate after the driveway was installed higher than it was supposed to be. The crew worked super hard and it was amazing to see them work. Very gifted at their trade. I HIGHLY recommend these guys.

Hector and Sierra Fence did a solid job. Hector showed up on time and gave me a bid the same day. I got 3 different bids. Sierra and one other company were about the same. A third company was significantly higher.
Once I accepted the bid, Hector scheduled me for the very next week. The crew came right at about 8 a.m. and demo-ed the old fence and set the new posts on the first day. They put up the new fence the following day. I got horizontal cedar pickets for the sections facing the street (for curb appeal) and standard vertical cedar pickets for the other sections (to save a little money).

Hector and his crew did an excellent job on replacing my fence. They were professional, timely, respectful of surrounding plants/structures, and delivered a beautiful product. We got 3/4" horizontal cedar "pickets" and Hector told me he was able to obtain a thicker, superior grade of lumber from his supplier. The fence is all I could have asked for. The only hiccup was the crew left a neighbor's cable unburied, and after letting him know Hector had them back in a couple of days to bury it. Thanks Hector!

Sierra Fence just finished my cedar bull panel fence and it is gorgeous ! WOW! WHO KNEW WHAT A DIFFERENCE a fence could make!?!? Look at the before and after photos. Awesome! I got 3 bids with options...all treated pine, pine post, all cedar, all pine, pine with cedar...Sierra had the best price on all options and the best terms. One company wanted 60% up front to get on their "list". Huh? I offered 50% start day or delivery of materials, but got a "no". Good grief, it's is a 2 day job! Sierra's terms...due upon completion! No problems whatsoever! Thank

So we recently moved to Austin Tx and bought a house with a couple of Acres of land. This was shortly followed by my wife deciding to rescue a German Shepard from a local charity.
