In due course, he packed his bags and moved three hours north to Cluj-Napoca where he studied Business Management at Babes-Bolyai University. After graduating with his Master's Degree, he traveled and trained in large cities of his own country and, eventually, around the European continent. Since then, he has made his biggest move to Boston, Massachusetts, where he has now settled.
Having made multiple moves himself, Alexe understands why a smooth move is important, whether the move is down the street or across state borders. He knows moving altogether can be overwhelming from having to pack what feels like hundreds of boxes to saying "la revedere" to loved ones or special spaces.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Exela. 3 days before a major move from Boston to Western Massachusetts (2 hours away), the first moving company we had booked had to cancel on us due to a covid outbreak on their staff. I called through every moving company I could find, but since it was New Year's Eve, most companies had their phones going to voicemail.

I work in Quality Assurance so I'm quite seasoned at writing reviews, but I'm truly at a loss for words when it comes to how phenomenally awesome our Exela movers were. The reservation process was simple and they confirmed numerous times prior to the start date/time. Our team of three movers (Daniel, Sabin and Adrian) showed up 15 min early and eagerly started loading the truck. And eager is an understatement - they were machines. These guys are awesome. We had a lot to throw at them - seven years' worth of accumulated stuff, a separate appointment just to pack, and an interstate move. The crew was highly professional and adaptive, and the foreman communicated well and was fun to work with. (Final Fantasy fans know it's a good sign when your foreman's name is Sabin.)

We have used Exela Movers twice in the last 8 years. My strongest endorsement? When we decided to move a second time, we didn't hesitate to call them and didn't even consider another company. I would 100% recommend Exela. Alexe and Jasmine were great about scheduling our move in a tight window and answering our questions beforehand. Daniel, Igor, and Flaviu did a fantastic job on the day of. They have mastered working both efficiently and carefully, which is always very appreciated. We had requested help packing one room and moving furniture and boxes. They were extremely cautious and thoughtful with our belongings, but still managed to work diligently and quickly, on a hot day nonetheless! I hired Exela Movers for an interstate move from the Boston metro area to New Jersey. Exela did a great job of making what could have been a stressful move go as smoothly as possible. Exela was responsive to any questions when I had to update box counts prior to the actual moving date. The movers showed up on time and early to begin packing up my apartment. The movers worked quickly and efficiently. Everything made it to New Jersey and was unloaded at our new home. I have no complaints as everything went very well!

I had a fantastic move with Dan and his crew! I moved from Brookline to Somerville and they were able to get the entire move finished in under 3 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment. Everyone was kind, and professional. Alexe was also great at coordinating everything and making sure I knew when the movers were coming and the expected cost. This was my second time moving with Exela, and I would highly recommend them for any move!

We used Exela for a recent move from a 3 level townhouse to a cape style home and they were incredible! In addition to all the stuff (and we have a LOT of stuff) in our townhouse, we also had quite a few things sitting in a 10x10 storage unit that they were able to load into the trucks. They are extremely hard-working and so nice. I don't anticipate moving again anytime soon but if we do, we will definitely hire Exela movers again. We've used several different moving companies in the past and none come close to Exela - what are you waiting for?!

We worked with Exela for a move from Boston to NYC. They were incredibly responsive, efficient, and easy to work with from start to finish! We had to reschedule our move at one point due to issues with our home purchase, and Exela went above and beyond to accommodate us and secure overnight storage for our things. The movers we worked with were prompt, respectful, and very careful with our belongings. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

I cannot recommend Exela enough!! They were the hardest working and most professional movers I've ever worked with, not to mention also being the most affordable. They worked fast and took incredible care of my things. They moved my entire apartment from North Shore to Somerville in just over 3 hours (including the time to and from their warehouse in Charlestown). I was already impressed enough by them, but then they managed to flawlessly park the moving truck into my cramped Somerville driveway!! Hired Exela for a local move within the Boston area. We mostly wanted them to move the big furniture and we could take care of the smaller things ourselves. They were FAST! I was quote for approximately 6-7 hours but it only took them less than 5 hours to complete the job. Everyone wore masks and they worked very efficiently and quick. I ended up paying less than I expected since they worked so quickly, so I was able to tip them more. Their team was phenomenal in all regards. Will definitely be hiring them again for any future moves.

Recently during the pandemic, I was pleased with their safety protocol that called for moving with masks and gloves - now I know this is difficult and I so appreciated their commitment! I also opened the windows to circulate air for their protection as well as ours.
Both times I have had great communication with Alexe the owner, and the cost quotes were reasonable and accurate. The movers were extremely fast

Our move was 3 miles within the city but not as stress free as we would have liked it to be. After reading all the reviews for Exela we preferred it to other movers although the quote was significantly higher. For the price we paid, we didn't get what we thought we would.
All in all not worth the premium that they charge (at least 30-40% higher than all other quotes we received).

We used Excela for a move from Brighton to Sherborn, and we were really happy with the service. It was simple to book with them, and our team of movers (3 of them) were very friendly and efficient. It took ~7 hours to move our two bed apartment (who knew you could accumulate so much in two years?!). Keep in mind that the per hour cost includes travel time (in our case, they drove to and from the dispatch in Charlestown).

Exela helped with a 2-bedroom, 1-day only in-town move out/move in, on 8/1. The weather was balmy, the stairs were unavoidable, and the hallways were unforgiving.
The team that moved me in, however, was unstoppable. They were efficient and treated all of my stuff, and both units, with great care, including wrapping all of my furniture. They wore masks. They helped take things apart and put them back together. They fought to get my couch into the new house when I was ready to abandon all hope. Everything arrived in my new home in one piece (unless we took it apart).

Exela made our local move easy and as stress-free as possible. First of all, the communication during the planning phase was great: Exela responded to my e-mail with a quote within a couple of hours, we agreed on a date, and I made a deposit over the phone. Exela also reached out ahead of the date to get a rough inventory and make sure we were good to go.
My previous apartment was a 2BR on the third floor of a walk-up. The Exela team arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and quickly got to work. My partner and I packed our boxes ahead of time, and those made it down and into the truck quickly

Alexe was straightforward and professional at every phase. We needed to pay for extra services -- packing our stuff, boxes, etc. Even so, the price was better than the available competition. Although I did help on moving day, I was mostly just offloading boxes from the truck to the professional and practiced moving crew.
This move went about as well as a move of this sort can possibly go. My only regret is that it took me two years to come back and finish writing
