In 1992, after an inspirational trip to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Worlds Away started out as an import company that revitalized the painted tole look. Within a few years we began to push design boundaries with additions in handcrafted lighting and hand painted metal furniture. Soon we were employing a distinctive mix including mirrored pieces, statement lighting, occasional furniture, and unique accessories.

I recently purchased two Worlds Away nightstands recommended to me by an interior design firm who was helping me with my master bedroom suite. The nightstands are navy blue faux shagreen and are priced at well over $2,000 each. The finish started coming off one of the nightstands shortly after I received them. The interior designer sent photos to the Worlds Away rep. Instead of replacing the defective nightstand, they sent a touch-up kit. The color of the touch-up paint they sent was not a match in color or finish. Needless to say, the nightstand looked even worse after touching up. After

Horrible, loved their products but I can not support a company with poor customer service who allowed me, a customer who purchased over $5,000 in product, two of which were damaged and did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. I will not purchase from them again and I sure won't be placing any of their products in my future show homes or clients homes. The products I purchased were for my personal home.
