Bellizzi tree service has removed several trees from my parent's rental home in the San Jose area. All work done has been the utmost in safety and cleanliness. Chris is very easy to work with and has excellent communication via email or text. He was very respectful of my elderly parents, the renters, and neighbors. I do not live in the area, so I needed a company I could trust and that is Bellizzi Tree Service.

I have bought a half cord of wood from Chris of Bellizzi tree service two years running now.
The wood is of excellent quality, is a good mix of hardwoods, is properly cured, and is fairly priced. Chris can be a little tough to reach sometimes but I have found that he'll typically return texts . His delivery crew is reliable and prompt.
I have not had any tree work done by Chris but if and when I do he'll be the first person I call.

Originally, just looking for a pruning. Soooo badly wanted to keep our Jacaranda, but Chris pointed out the destructive potential awaiting us with the expanding root system so close to our structures. We eventually decided to remove the tree. Three days later the team promptly arrived in the morning and 3 hours later they were done. The best part was that my beloved tree lived on as useful biofuel. Everyone wins.

We had a 60' tree that started leaning precipitously just prior to the big rain bomb last Sunday. Chris and the Bellizzi team came out on a day's notice and extensively trimmed the tree taking off considerable weight allowing the tree to weather the storm. The team did a great job in just a couple of hours and left my yard very clean and tidy. I give Bellizzi a Fantastic rating and would use them again. Mike in Los Altos.

Bellizzi tree service removed a dead Monterey pine tree about 45 feet tall from our backyard using a crane because It was relatively tricky tree removal due to the tree's location about 6 feet away from an art studio.
This only took about five hours and even included grinding down the stump! So we now have plenty of gorilla hair mulch from stump.

The workers cleaned up wonderfully and the neighbors were so glad no one got hurt as we had to get crane access from the neighbors driveway for this relatively dangerous job with chainsaws and a crane

Unable to get a callback despite promise of "call in a bit" and "call in 5" (see attached exchange). I guess I need to reinterpret "call in a bit" as not any time soon, and "call in 5" as not in 5 min (what most people believe) or even 5 hours. Maybe he meant 5 days or 5 weeks? I don't think so, and what would be the point then?
So, easy communication and reliable as other reviewers stated was not my experience. All of us can get distracted by something and lose track, but consecutive failures like this even at the start doesn't bode well

We started using Belizzi Tree service 10 years ago for a massive pine tree removal. He was fast, reliable, and reasonably priced. We continued to call on Chris for regular trimming of our trees and we recently moved to a home with enormous overgrown Oak trees. We called up Chris and he came out with a team and we're here for two full days. What I love about the Belizzi team is that they don't just hack the trees away. They keep an eye out for balance and keep esthetics in mind. We will continue to use their service and highly recommend them for anything from yearly trimming to full removal

Chris Bellizzi and his assistant Ramiro did a fantastic job of trimming and stabilizing a badly leaning Chinese Elm. Large portions of the tree had to be removed to properly distribute the weight. They came on time and worked very hard and efficiently. I’m definitely going to hire them for my next tree job.

Chris' workers arrived right on time and went right to work. Had 3 small trees cut down and stump ground out as well as our Japanese Maple in front trimmed away from the house at least by 2 feet. Job was done quickly and professionally. Chris arrived and ground out the stumps of the three small trees. Will use Chris again in the future.

I had a jacaranda in front of my house that probably hadn't been maintained since the 1970s. It had grown to the point where it was beating against my eaves and was dropping all sorts of twigs in a slight breeze. As I wanted to install solar, the tree needed care in a tight timeframe with roof repair.
Even with COVID and the fires, Chris was very communicative re: scheduling. I very much appreciated that he was concerned for the health of his crew with the heatwave and the smoke, and that he knew that I had some concerns that we would miss my date. We didn't - the team kept the commitment

The old Magnolia tree in our front yard ended up having one of it's larger limbs snapping, falling on top of another limb which also snapped, and blocked our driveway. I reached out to several companies on Yelp to see who could help, and Bellizzi Tree Service came through for me with the best price/quality/timing combination of the competitors.
They came out just when they said they would, and promptly began work shredding the fallen limbs, pruning the old tree to ensure this happen again, and even took an on-the-spot request from me to take down another 20 ft. tree next to my house before

Chris is super cool. Very up front and straight to the point, and great to deal with. He got me mad logs straight to my house and now I'm good for the season. He came with a truck, dumped it, and literally just saved my life since now my family will be warm all winter long. Don't expect help past that though; you gotta handle your own logs. Pay him in cash and give him the honor he deserves! He's legit, I'll order again next year.

They have competitive pricing. They're really busy, but so is every tree service these days. The owner is reachable via text, and can do both the estimates and the work without you being home.
We had a lot of tall trees growing over from the neighbors side, and they were able to trim everything back, and clean up the yard as if they were never there. In and out in about 2 hours.

After contacting several qualified tree service companies, Bellizzi was able to quickly provide a quote for trimming several backyard Queen Palms. Price was competitive and onsite recommendations were very helpful. Service personnel were on-time, professional and easy to work with. Their eye for detail was apparent and the results look great!! I recently hired Bellizzi Tree Service to thin out and shape a very tall redwood tree on my property. The entire project, from the arrival of the big trucks, to the thinning and shaping of the tree, to the final clean-up and hauling away of the debris, was completed professionally. Chris, the owner of the company, was on-site the entire time to oversee the project. Chris is easy to work with and understood my various concerns of the job, such as the very close proximity of the neighbors' homes and the narrow street in front of our homes. Chris and his crew were respectful of the neighbors' properties
