We called them for a furnace repair since our house wasn't heating. While they sent the person on the same day, he charged 80 dollars for the visit (non-refundable) and then recommended 750 dollars for the circuit board change. I checked at that time and the circuit board hardly costs less than 100 dollars so it didn't make sense to give 750 dollars for just changing a circuit board which is like a 5 min task.
Wouldn't recommend Bothell heating since it seemed like a waste of money to have them come and diagnose (also common theme in the other reviews).

I spoke with Mark by phone and though he was quite generous with his time he was also somewhat insistent that I needed a new heater as mine was installed in 1992 and he could do it the next day. My problem was the pilot would not light. Years ago PSE would come light your pilot for free if you couldn't do it, and often they'd say I needed a new thermocouple. PSE does no repair now. Mark's new heating system was $3500 so I was hesitant. I called another local company. He came out, replaced the thermocouple for $228. He thought the heater looked fine. It works well now.

Mark at Bothell Heating was extremely helpful figuring out what was going on with our York 4 ton heat pump in our 6 year old house. He carefully listened to all the details I had, and helped come up with a cost effective solution for our issue.
I tried talking to the HVAC company that the builder had used to install our system, but they were asking for my credit card number before they'd even come out... Again, I can't recommend these guys enough, they are definitely customer-first!

Deceptive business practices going on here. They tried to tell my grandmother her entire system needed to be replaced for $10,000!!! Turns out all she needed was a $150 part. Thank goodness she got a second opinion. I would never trust this company to even come near my house. Nice way to treat a sweet old lady on a fixed income. Beware.

This guy came out to our house to repair our furnace. He spent about 15 minutes said well your furnace is to old there are no parts available you will have to buy a new one. Because of the cold snap we are having he almost got us to buy a new furnace. This would have cost us
$3000.00. I told him to give us 15 minutes so I can research some more. I think he knew at that moment that I was a problem solver and he wasn't going to make any money off us. We ended up taking the part that had went out to another heating place called Eylanders they rebuilt the part and then came out and fixed it for

Mark is a straight shooter. He says it like it is and doesn't steer you wrong or try to take advantage of desperate situation. He responds promptly to service calls and works efficiently. We have used his services twice this year for heating a d cooling issues in our home. I would highly recommend his business.

I bought a new house and wanted to get the furnace and heat pump checked out and tuned up, as the house had been sitting empty for a while. Mark, the owner, called back, set up a time and showed up as promised. He did a great job. He could have made up something that needed repairing, but he didn't. He was honest. All he charged for was the service fee, which he told me what it was up front before we set up the appointment . And it was HALF of what another local company said they would charge. So, I highly recommend Mark and Bothell Heating & Air Conditioning.
