This "packing nut" seals the packing around the stem. If you have a slow leak around a stem of a valve, gently tighten the packing nut until the leak stops. Anyone with a garbage disposal: If your disposal stops working, odds are that its not broken! Disposals are made for grinding food waste into a mixture that is able to be removed by your drain system.
In doing this, sometimes hard pieces get stuck in the disposal and lock it.

Johnny On The Spot Plumbing, LLC is owned and operated by Spencer Bobbitt from Bedford, VA. The company was formed in January of 2014 after we noticed a shortage of plumbers in the Bedford area. We are also here to answer emergency calls at odd hours to all of Bedford County as well as surrounding counties.

Have been super helpful since we purchased our home a year ago. Have had them replace our water heater, fix a busted pipe and also corrected some issues under our home with drains/vents. most recently they came out and changed out our well filter and removed the rods from the hot water heater that were making the water smell life sulfur. Very pleased with the cost and service. would highly recommend.

Yet again, Johnny on the Spot, saved the day for me!! They have saved me hundreds, if not thousands of dollars! I don't know any of these guys personally but they treat their customers like family. They truly prioritize helping over just making money! Their plumbers are AMAZING!! I had a stopped up floor drain and Jarrod & TJ came out same day and were able to fix it in no time. They were super friendly and extremely professional. They even did a great job cleaning up the mess made by the yuckiness pulled out from the drain. If you need a Plummer for anything, don’t hesitate to call them.

Our whole house filter basically blew up this morning leaving us with no water. Although their day was already full they came to our rescue. It was a freak thing that required replacing the whole house filter completely. These guys were super nice, extremely professional , and got our water back on today. I would recommend them to anyone. If I could give more than five stars I would. I can't tell you how comforting it is as a small business owner in Bedford to know these guys are around.
