Loved my experience at Dulles Subaru! Worked with Jonathan to purchase my family dream car - a 2022 Subaru Ascent. He went the extra mile and picked me up in my new car when it arrived, so I didn't have to get a ride to the dealership. Since the technology in my new car was a big step up from my old one, Donna was super helpful and patient in walking me through all of the car's features. She even helped me put in some last-minute rubber mats in the back so I wouldn't have to pay for installation. Top notch customer service!!

Manager called me to apologize for the scrupulous behavior of the assistant manager Tyler, who had gone through my personal items in my glove box. In summary, ok service but be ready for surprises after you buy a used car.
I recently bought a 2014 Outback with 61,000 miles. The in-person treatment was polite throughout. After I bought it I realized that 1) my car only had one key, 2) oil change was due in a few miles, 3) the hatchback door leaked water (common problem on outbacks), 4) the cheap backup camera suggested to complete the function I wanted was not cheap at all, 5) the advertisement description of the car does not match the description of the actual car (like the backup camera).
In addition, a smaller problem was that their cleanup

Not a fan of how this dealership does things. I inquired about a 2021 Legacy that has been on their lot for over 115 days. In normal times, a dealer would be happy to cut a great deal on a less than popular model that is already a model year old and has been on the lot for months. Even with the current crazy times thanks to the covid induced chip shortage, I was hoping for at least some discount. I negotiated via text and the salesperson went right out of the gate with the classic 1980s car sales aggressive energy. Initial offer was MSRP, and full price for all of the dealer installed accessories

UPDATE: After leaving a three star review for the reasons listed above, I am now compelled to drop it to one star, and would make it zero if I could, and this is the reason why. While driving the Tacoma I bought from them in the rain, the steering was "off", as in it just didn't feel right. Closer inspection of the tires revealed that all four of them were missing their DOM (Date Of Manufacture) codes. Bought a 2017 ford focus from them a few months ago. Ran into problems with the transmission not rev-matching properly leading to it being extremely jerky when accelerating from low speeds. It was also shaking when I would break at high speeds. Took it into service center to be looked at. The technician did a rather shallow diagnostic on the car and told me my breaks were worn unevenly along with the tires. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. Spent 4 hours there with kids during covid only to have vehicle sold out from under us while we ran to get kiddos something to eat. There are 2 dealerships in the same lot that don't communicate with each other. Sat there for 1 1/2 getting a loan only to get told oh sorry someone else is getting a loan too. Said ok that stinks, but do you have anything else. To be told oh sure. Well folks, here we go. I would never recommend this dealership. It started as a decent enough experience but things have gotten much worse. They would not wash the car even though there was definite dirt on the glass, body, and inside. After purchasing the vehicle we noticed a small crack in the windshield and immediately contacted Dulles Subaru.… They took the car in and replaced the windshield free of charge. Beforehand, they told me I could wait on it as it would only take 45 minutes (that seemed astronomically fast to me). When I dropped it off, they told me it would take several hours

Went to buy a car last night and I feel like they tried to rip me off completely. They could magically approve me for a brand new car with double the payments I wanted to make but couldn't get me approved with a payment that I was comfortable with. And each time I was turned down for the car I was interested in they pushed the new car.
Went to Carmax today and walked out with a payment that I was comfortable with and a newer make of the car that I was looking at.

Ran into trouble when our trade in was apparently too new to be found in Kelley blue book. They ball parked it low and we negotiated and finally agreed to price but probably shouldn't have. We had tried to get a car max quote but they were closed. We definitely should have shopped around.
Pretty much our own fault. Lots of pressure to add extra protection which we declined.. come here only after you have written quote. We are happy with the car but regret we could have done lots better. Still unhappy with the experience!
