Through John's vision, tenacity and anticipation of prevailing market needs, Novak Construction has successfully transitioned to become one of Chicago's premier general contractors and construction managers.John attended Southern Illinois University. As a trained carpenter, he founded Novak Construction in 1980.
John's goal was to create a commercial firm that would be based on strong client relationships, superior quality work and a portfolio of various well-known brands and project types. Today they span the retail, institutional and multi-family sectors. John's philanthropic efforts focus on a variety of causes - from education and the disadvantaged, to supporting hospitals and equine causes.

This company clearly does not care about anybody’s life. I was driving down I-80 in the right lane in Joliet and one of their drivers almost side swiped me when they decided to pass me in the shoulder doing 90mph. I called the company and was connected to Bill who showed no care or sympathy and hung up on me. Would definitely look for another contractor in the Chicagoland area as this company is both reckless and careless.

I've never used this company before, but I'm a big believer that when representing a company (like driving a company pickup with the insignia on the side), employees should try their best to represent it well. This morning I was cut off by such a pickup truck, which ran a stop sign when it was clearly my right of way. When I honked, the older gentleman driving the truck stopped in the intersection, blocking my way and proceeded to give me some hand gestures while yelling something (his window was closed, so I couldn't hear, but he appeared angry).
