Projects Report

We hired Capitol Hardwood Floors to refinish the wood floors at the historic Salvation Army Building (241 State in Salem). This is a 90 year old building with commercial use for all those decades. The floors had decades of abuse, including everything from tap dancing groups to water damage. Arnie did a superb job in refinishing the floors and this is probably the best they've looked since they were new.

Arnie has done all of our floors at our property when we've needed them refinished. At least six in the last two years. Often times the floors are being sanded for the first time in 40 years. He has had to bring them back to life and he has done it. They are a major selling point for our new residents. He's been doing floors for a long time and is a pro.

My husband and I were planning to sell our 70’s home that had carpet throughout except for the kitchen and entry. The kitchen and entry had hardwood floors installed over the linoleum years ago. I'm going to make this short. One man show that took a month lacking three days to complete. If he would of showed up and worked eight hours per day he would of been finished easily in two weeks. He has junk for tools. He is extremely rude, inconsiderate, no social skills what so ever. His new construction work is pretty good other than installing a heat vent crooked to the wall and not connecting the ducting up to the floor. He refinished where doors that had seals on the bottom of the door. Left door open and it stuck to the floor. I asked him why he didn't take the door off. He replied he does
