I am a Colorado native who grew up in Westminster. After high school, I attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and received a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Many times a customer asks me on the phone what it costs to remove a stump. The general criteria is the width of the tree stump or width of the desired stump grinding area and how many visible surface roots, if any, the customer would like to have removed. Also the type of tree can affect the pricing.
When a customer requests a tree removal, many times one of the first questions on the phone is how much it will cost? Many homeowners have never had a tree removed, so understandably they may have little idea of what to expect in the cost of the removal. Every tree removal situation is different. To help you understand what is involved in pricing the cost of a tree removal, here is a summary of the criteria used.

Scott has the equipment and the knowledge to do an excellent job of stump removal. I’ve probably had 5-6 stumps ground out over the years of home ownership and this was the best job done, by far. He’s a real professional and a pleasure to meet and deal with. I cannot recommend him more highly. Great job!

I've used Scott, at least twice now, I can't remember it's been so long, but at least twice, and I will definitely use him again. He is so hard-working, polite, punctual and does a great job at a great price. Most recently he came over after 5pm and ground down a stump we needed that was delaying our driveway from being re-done. Scott came out at a moments notice and took care of it no problem. You can't go wrong with this guy!

We lost a major branch and were at risk of losing more after the June derecho. Scott and his crew came out quickly, assessed the trees, and conducted quick and efficient tree trimming. After last night's (October 11) sustained winds, we didn't lose a single branch, not even a twig. Very reasonably priced and thorough explanations of everything they did.

After reading all these amazing reviews I was very optimistic about using Scott to remove a tree/stump grind and trim back another tree at my recently purchased home. Unfortunately, I am beyond disappointed with my experience. Scott appears to be the professional and owner of this business yet when it came to decisions about the tree removal and branch trimming, he continuously referred to his colleague Matt to make decisions. Matt was blatantly rude, condescending and extremely unprofessional...not to mention lazy. My contractor explicitly detailed how we would like the tree branches trimmed back

Scott was fantastic. He made time to squeeze in taking two large dead trees down in our yard with very little notice. He was extremely professional and efficient. We were definitely very happy with the work he did. He is also just a very nice person and I highly recommend working with him. His price was fair and reasonable and he did a great job with the cleanup. I love that we don't have any stumps left in the yard so now we can work on the landscaping without any eye sores.
