My air suspension on my Mercedes gls went out while on a day trip to Boreal. After AAA took 6 hours and ultimately failed to provide any service, Ray found a towing company to come pick me up and serviced my SUV SAME DAY to get me home. I was stressed and all other dealerships and shops were completely unwilling to help. Everyone at the Meritage was so caring and considerate. I only wish I lived closer so I could have Meritage be my go to shop. Forever grateful.

Love Ray and the whole shop. They book up quickly but it's because they do great work. My whole family goes and we love it there!

I am currently in the market I for a used Diesel truck. After weeks of searching for the right vehicle I thought that I had found the right truck here at Meritage. I took a day off work to drive to Auburn (from Reno, NV) to make an offer on a duramax that that was posted online. When I arrived at the shop there was no one in the sales office. I asked someone in the mechanic shop for help and they contacted the sales person for me. After a short wait I was given the opportunity to test drive this particular vehicle. I recently purchased a 1999 Mercedes Benz SLK230 that needed a lot of little things fixed, and then some more major items like the hydraulic pump/headliner and air conditioning. After reading the reviews of Ray and team, I knew I would feel comfortable going to these guys and be supporting a local, family owned business. Well, it turns out they have exceeded my expectations and are just really wonderful people. The car runs great now, and Ray is meticulous about getting the really tricky things done, and charging beyond fair rates for his time and expertise.

I am so excited to write this review for the Meritage Team!! I have really struggled to find quality care for my cars over the years so it's a major relief to have found this shop. They tackled what was a stressful and complicated challenge (to me) with our BMW - solved it - but more importantly treated me with so much patience, care and respect along the way. They educated me about my options, worked with me to find solutions that were as cost effective as possible, and stayed in communication to provide me updates. I purchased my Miata from them a couple of months ago. They had great customer service and very nice staff. Car is in fantastic condition and I didn't feel like I was being lied too or being taken advantage of. Great place to buy a car. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vehicle.

We where on our way to Tahoe when my Honda CRV suddenly started to loose power and the check engine light turned on. With two small kids in the car and a brutal 1.5 hours left in our drive we got off at the next exit and found this mechanic shop. After desperately explaining what was happening the Hasti came right out to check out our car. Around 30 min later our car was fixed and good to go! We could tell the garage was very busy but Hasti dropped everything to help a family in a sticky situation. Highly recommend this shop!!!!!

Best place for taking care of my Cars. I don't buy new cars as I know that I can maintain my cars here. Ray and his crew has been taking care of all of my cars for the last 10 years. Ray has a great personality and goes above and beyond to help his customers. He is honest and expert in both foreign and domestic cars. I always receive high quality car service at a fraction of a dealership cost. I highly recommend this business.

Since moving to Auburn area I have used Meritage for all my MB needs. I cannot speak highly enough of the service they offer. Always happy, always welcoming and car is frequently finished earlier than estimated.

I took my 1999 mustang to Meritage to be diagnosed because it'd been out to pasture for a number of years. Not only were they genuinely encouraging in favor of the car being worth the repairs, they backed that impression up with the diagnostics that supported their impression. That was exactly what I wanted to hear. Then if that wasn't great enough, they were able to fix an air conditioning problem that three previous mechanics couldn't fix. And wait for it! I asked if they would also put a new top on the car as its a convertible and they respectfully and apologetically said

A great family owned HONEST dealership and repair facility. I've purchased a vehicle through Ray and Hasti and have had them routinely service and repair several of my vehicles over the years. I don't usually write reviews, but this auto repair facility is the best I have ever been to. A major front wheel bearing failure on I-80 40 miles east of Auburn left my truck not drivable. After a tow and dropping the car off on a Sunday night, Hasti was the right person to assure me the would take care of the situation and get me back on the road. They worked hard to complete the repairs that Monday and were successful. Haste's confidence is well supported by her competence. Staff is super nice. Place is clean. They checked my car out and shut my check engine light off for free. Even gave me some solution to help clean out my catalytic converter for free. Here's the best part - they recommend I check out a few of the local areas because the part I needed was going to be really expensive for them to order. Wow! That's honesty and customer service at its finest. I'd be happy to recommend them to my family and friends.

I only trust 2 people in the car business on the planet and Ray at Meritage is one of those 2. He has been servicing our E500 for. A few years now and would never dream of taking it anywhere else. When it came time to get our teenage daughter a car when she got her license it was a no-brainer to get it from Ray. Mid-day Saturday and we were on the way to the Sierras when we started to smell burning coolant in our RV. Even though their shop did not handle RVs, Ray was glad to take a look and let us know what we needed to do to safely proceed. A few handshakes a quick stop at the parts store and we were on our way. Ray and Tyler are over the top professional. They took my SLK 350 in for service and found several things that needed repair that were covered by the warranty. Tyler went to work and got all the items covered. Then they recommended a major service and also pointed out some potential long term issues. I decided to get everything done at once, and they gave me a nice discount. I couldn't be happier with the service and overall experience. So much better than the place in town I was using before.

An update since my last review: Upon reading my review, Meritage called to discuss it. They offered to refund the cost of my original oil change and have another technician look at my vehicle.

I passed on the technician, as I'd already gone elsewhere to have everything checked and had to pay to have the engine cleaned and oil changed properly. I did take my refund and appreciate that they offered. A lot of places wouldn't have even bothered to try and make things right. So I'll give them a couple more stars for that.

I had car trouble on the way to Tahoe. My VW sounded like a motorbike, with no warning sensors. I took the car to Meritage Motors, they inspected and found that my Catalytic converter was broken.
The owner actually called VW to see if it was covered under warranty. It was - upto 80k, my car had 73k miles.
He recommended that I take it to a VW dealer and didn't charge me a dime!!

Meritage Auto Repair is amazing! They specialize in BMWs and have more than reasonanble pricing on their services. I dropped off my car in the morning and walked to work since I'm only a few doors down. They called me and gave me my price over the phone and then after all the work was done they dropped my car back off to my work place! This place is ran by honest people and its it's really hard to find someone who won't take advantage of you when you need only a few things done. Thanks meritage!
