Services
Seattle based Tirto Furniture is a family business, locally owned and located in the NE side of the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Our family has been making furniture for decades and we pride ourselves on improving homes with solid wood furniture. Tirto Furniture truly is a family business. Chris' love for furniture started young, as he grew up surrounded by his father, James Tirtoprodjo's, Indonesian antique collection.
We receive new shipments of handcrafted teak furniture every two months or so which have different styles and designs. We receive handmade teak furniture made from refurbished wood direct from our family's workshop on a regular basis. We typically have a few dining tables, coffee tables, side tables along with new designs and home furnishings.
Our tables are all handmade in our family's workshop, primarily from refurbished teak wood. We believe our solid teak tables only improve over time. Tirto tables come in a variety of sizes, finishes, and all can be customized. We have many designs of bookshelves from modern to classic, as well as buffet cabinets with space for your record collection, or liquor storage. Cool furniture store that's a lot larger than expected, but pretty far out of the way. Almost everything is wood with neat designs and decent quality. There were a few things we saw, but quite a bit was proportioned for a house moreso than apartment living. Prices were in-line with what you'd expect given the quality and designs. I would have appreciated more variety in colors and materials. I recommend checking it out.

Chris is amazing! He helped us through purchase and finishing a dining table from his lovely shop. Unfortunately, we noticed a few flaws in the wood. He quickly sent out a specialist to do repairs, but we decided that it needed replaced. He was so cooperative with us through this process and even offered to have it picked up since we don't have transport for the table. We look forward to having Tirto as a resource for quality service and furniture in the future!

I ordered a custom buffet from Tirto. Chris, the owner, was extremely helpful. He, helped me figure out the design of the buffet, was always quick to respond to my zillions of questions, and sent me regular updates on the progress of the piece as it was being built. I couldn't be happier with the result--it is gorgeous. The price was quite reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the materials and craftsmanship, the amount of work that was put into it, and the fact that it was custom-built. Tirto is my favorite local furniture spot to find wood furniture that's high quality and guaranteed to be the of great craftsmanship. You'll always find something to put on your must-have list. The pieces I've found here are classic and timeless. Many of the styles are similar to core pieces that you'd see at high end shops but much more affordable and seriously solid quality.

GREAT FURNITURE STORE!
I needed some dining chairs to match some teak chairs that I had purchased from David Smith (COOL furniture store on Queen Anne, now closed), so I took in one of the chairs to Tirto. They did not have the exact chair, but they said they could make some to match. It took a while, because they are made in their workshop in Indonesia, but when they arrived they were perfect! Great communication, customer service and value! I will be going back when I need a new coffee table (after the grandchildren have finished destroying my current one!)

Good price for the quality. Great customer service too, I bought a beautiful dining table there and put beewax over it to protect the wood. The beewax brought out the natural colour of the wood, hence, half of my table looked darker than the other half. Chris (the owner) offered to make another table for me at their Indonesian workshop and shipped it here for exchange. Will be going back for more furniture!

A wonderful collection of well designed, hand made, solid wood, furniture. We purchased a beautiful dining room table crafted from salvaged teak that is a family favorite, and have enjoyed their durable teak deck furniture for years. The owner Chris Tirtoprodjo is knowledgeable, easy to work with and can provide custom pieces, communicating directly with the craftspeople that fabricate the furniture.

Fav furniture store in Seattle.
Got a big dinner / work table and chairs here so far.
Their stuff completely DESTROYS what you might find at West Elm, Retro-Fit, etc.... dont even think about Ikea.
You want big solid wooden pieces that will last a lifetime. You need to go shop Tirto.
Gonna go back next month for some cabinets.
Its family owned handcrafted stuff. No kits, lame scandanavian pack or self assemble.
They have great delivery partners too. Got my stuff next day set-up just the way I wanted it.
Anything else I buy in this city will come from this shop.

My partner just bought his first house. We've only been there a couple of months, so we're still missing some furniture. We've been using folding chairs with our nice new rustic-style Montana Table and that just didn't sit right with us, plus my partner needs a new desk for his home office.
