Services
Well maintained trees increase property value, provide energy-saving shade and windbreak, prevent soil erosion, provide habitat and food for animals and pollinators, sequester carbon, and deflect urban noise. Tree pruning services are an important part of keeping your valuable trees healthy and vibrant.
Although For The Love Of Trees aims to preserve trees and shrubs, tree removals are sometimes necessary. Storm damage, root damage, disease, insect infestation, construction or death can compromise the structural integrity of a tree and may warrant tree removal. It is important to get a proper diagnosis of the health and safety of the tree from a professional.
The natural forests of the Pacific Northwest are characterized by several canopy layers-from the towering canopies of Douglas firs; to the under story shrubs including rhododendron and salal; down to ground-covering ferns. In Oregon's urban forest, these shrubs can grow to be impressive foundation plantings over time, some reaching heights of thirty feet or more.
For The Love Of Trees offers stump grinding services for tree removals, as well as for pre-existing stumps. We grind out the stumps if you want to plant directly above it, if it impedes your property or if the stump is aesthetically unpleasant. One added benefit of stump grinding is it reduces or eliminates entirely epicormic growth, a.k.a.
Cities, counties and insurance companies often require Certified Arborist Reports for hazard analysis, permit applications, construction mitigation, tree inventories, and insurance claims. Jeremy Fry, ISA Certified Arborist (PN-6849A) and company owner, is Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, and is well-versed in ISA standards.

I noticed some concerning changes in a large Douglas Fir in my yard. I was asked to email some photos and I got a comprehensive breakdown of what was likely going on. Nothing to treat for now, and I don't normally write reviews, but I was so happy with the quick and thoughtful feedback I got. I will use For The Love Of Trees next time I'm in need!

For The Love Of Trees did an excellent job pruning the tree's in our yard.
They also took down a large monkey puzzle that had become a safety hazard. The company took care of reviewing it for heritage status and all the other paperwork and did a great job cutting it down even though the tree was located in an awkward position.
During lunch time I left to get pizza and when I came back the driveway was full of branches from a 100+ year old Beech tree in the front yard that greatly needed a haircut. I just parked on the street and by the time they left a couple of hours later they had cleaned

Our neighbors hired this company and if you don't want to piss off your neighbors, don't hire them. They knocked at our door first thing in the morning (thanks a lot for the rude wake up) asking to use our driveway, parked all of their vehicles in front of OUR house, blocked in our driveways (I actually had to go outside and ask them to move so I could get to work) and made a huge mess. Extremely rude and thoughtless.

Hello internet stranger! Just like you, I had lots of tree-anxiety. My wife and I moved into a house built in 1958, with trees over 100 ft tall, that hadn't been trimmed in 15-20 years. The deadwood falling on the roof at night kept us awake. So we called For The Love of Trees and they came out in a couple days to give us a bid for trimming. Two giant trees to be trimmed, an old Cherry to cut down and grind, and a vicious Juniper bush to rip out. FTLOT's bid was the most economical, and it also felt the most informed; they talked me through every piece and I felt like I understood why

Our large, street side maple was over due for a thinning and removal of dead limbs over power and phone lines. I've learned the hard way that tree care is important as I wanted to maintain a healthy canopy and minimize falling limbs. Kris and the team at FTLOTs was recommended by a neighbor based on a similar job in Eastmoreland. I was impressed with the teams professionalism and results. The tree looks great and I will be calling again in a few years as a satisfied customer. Not the highest or the lowest of my four bids (price) and I was happy with the value. Thank you.

Kris Webber came out to give us an estimate, and he, by far, knew more about trees, and the potential of property damage from branches coming down, than anyone else I've spoken to.
His team had a safety meeting before they started, which is always good, and they were all very professional.
The estimate came in right around the others I had..
This is the only company I will ever use and I highly recommend them.

Jacques and Dave did a superb job removing two diseased Pines at our house. Jacques was also very helpful in suggesting replacements and what else was needed on the property. They also really cleaned up afterwards too. Fantastic job. Highly recommended.
The only thing that sucks was that they don't take credit cards. Tree work like ours is thousands of $, so be prepared.

Thank you, Jeremy, and your crew, for providing stellar service before, during and after trimming and removing trees on our property. Your crew was prompt and efficient, reviewing details of job before getting started and willing to listen when I thought another branch could be trimmed. I loved Elizabeth's comment: 'we need to trim this dogwood and rhodie so they have a symbiotic relationship'....who says that? Oh, an arborist does!! :) Everyone was awesome, even Randy, who came a few days later to provide tree grinding services.

Jeremy and his team do excellent work. Jeremy is quick to respond, and John is professional and has great attention to detail. I hired them to do extensive tree work on a 26-acre campus that included improving views with large oak and evergreen trees, as well as ornamental pruning of smaller specimen trees. The team nailed it on all accounts. I have also hired them to do work at my home and received the same top notch service. Jeremy is very communicative, and the onsite team is respectful. Highly recommended!

This is the 7th year we have used For the Love of Trees for our winter pruning needs at our house and our rental, and for maintaining our rhododendrons and azaleas after they have bloomed in the spring. This company does beautiful work - our fruit trees and ornamental trees look natural: Jeremy and his crews are tree artists in my books. We had a very old and diseased apple tree removed this year, and FTLOT looks after stump grinding as well. I couldn't be happier with the work that they do.
