We had a leak under our kitchen sink that flooded our kitchen and a little bit of our living room. Marvin Davis Construction and Marc Tuttle were FABULOUS!! From start to finish, our job went smooth. Our on site Foreman - Miguel-and all of the MD Construction craftsmen did a superior job. They were at our home when they said they would be and did a spick and span clean up each day. Marc gave us great recommendations on venders. We have a BEAUTIFUL and functional new kitchen. We could not be more pleased. I can't say enough about the exceptional job Marvin Davis Construction did when they repaired the damage to my master bedroom, due to a serious leak from my upstairs neighbor's bathroom. Marc and his staff were wonderful! Marc came and did a walk through at the beginning of the job. He followed up with a very precise estimate that was was easy to read and understand. We first hired Marvin Davis back in 2015 when we had sustained water damage from a bad atmospheric rain and wind storm. They were wonderful back than and the repair work was amazing, they were our preferred choice for water damage we sustained in September from our water heater going out.
Insurance process has changed in California since 2015 and Marc was very helpful with us getting their estimate approved by our insurance company vs the general contractor that was sent out by our insurance companies program. We didn’t feel comfortable using the contractor from the insurance companies program

Marvin Davis Construction sent Marc Tuttle to manage our kitchen remodel and we are so happy with his work. He was flexible, had great suggestions, and was willing to work with us all the way to the end (the last item was really problematic and Marvin Davis ended up creating a customized two-level drawer). Marc had to go through our insurance for everything and did so without any complaints.

It was a great experience working with Marc Tuttle of Marvis Davis Construction and would highly recommend them and would definitely use them for any future construction needs.

I can't say enough good things about Marvin Davis Construction. Marc oversaw everything in a professional, clear and communicative manner. The work was undertaken at the outset of the Corona virus situation so things were a little different in the world, but Marc stayed on top of everything as we worked through the new restrictions on how/when work could be done, and the end result was beauty and perfection. Marc and his team were amazing to work with. We had a bit of water damage from a backed up drain in the kitchen and it completely flooded floor and into the common hallway of the condo. We had glued wooden laminate on the floors that needed to be ripped out and replaced with new tile. The dry wall in the kitchen and the common hallway also needed to be replaced.

Marvin Davis Construction, Inc, was highly recommended to me. I had major water damage in my laundry room (window leak) and my bathroom (toilet). Marc Tuttle, drew up detailed plans and coordinated this project from beginning to end, keeping me fully informed throughout. I had walls and floors torn out, a window replaced (2) toilets replaced walls replaced. marble flooring put in, a sump pump put in as an afterthought and a major section of siding replaced on the outside of the house. Five stars for Marvin Davis Construction, and specifically Marc Tuttle. My townhouse suffered water damage, and Marc was responsive, accurate in the project estimate, and thorough in getting all trades scheduled and coordinated to complete the reconstruction. Marc and team made sure work was done to code and made small adjustments to improve livability, e.g. sizing and spacing of a bathroom vanity. The end result was quality work, delivered on time.

We were working with Design Matters (see Julie Cavanaugh) and had the perfect design plan for our long awaited house remodel. After having lived in our house for 17 years, it was long overdue. The trickiest part of the project was the execution. We met with several general contractors too, but when I met with Chuck, we just clicked. He's knowledgable, professional, and trustworthy. We've recently completed three distinct (yes, three!) home remodeling projects with Marvin Davis, project managed by Marc Tuttle. Did everything go perfectly...of course not. One complex bathroom project took longer than planned, but, it still turned out great!
Even with the delay, we planned two other projects with Marc. Why?
1) A commitment to quality work and customer satisfaction. Marc wasn't happy with any subcontractor unless my husband and I were happy with the job. And, Marc was creative about finding solutions to problems when they did come up.
2) Marc is a great communicator

They never return your calls back. Somebody came down for a site consultation for my residence remodeling and extension project. I was supposed to receive a quote in about 1 week. Have not heard from anybody since 4 weeks. Their contact number is directed to an answering service where a message is taken but nobody calls or emails back.

We were introduced to Marvin Davis Construction and Marc Tuttle our project manager through our insurance company. We had a water leak in our roof directly over our living room due to one of the rain storms of 2017 and Marvin Davis was one of the suggested contractors to repair everything. After interviewing several contractors, considering their YELP posts and the management team we were convinced that we had made the right decision to use Marvin Davis.

After ServPro came by to dry the damage, we were left with a hole in the ceiling, half the carpet pad removed in my master closet, the toe kick of the vanity removed and a lot of baseboard removed in the impacted areas.
I had called several contractors on Yelp, and after getting three recommendations from State Farm on contractors and calling them all, I knew I was moving forward with Marvin Davis.
Marc came out, inspected my home, and was very professional and clear on what needed to be done.

As good as they come.
We used Marvin Davis to make repairs related to water damage in our kitchen. This was an insurance related job. We found them to be good communicators & prompt. They worked very well with our insurance company and did what they promised to do and were very flexible. Marc the project manager and the office staff were very easy to work with. The work was of good quality but the staff was A+.

After a good engagement with Marvin Davis on a small project in our condo, we decided to go with them for a larger project at our new house. Because we were removing a load bearing wall, along with other work, my wife and I didn't mind paying more for a company whom I had experience and seemed reputable. This was a TERRIBLE mistake and we will never give them business again.
We had three major issues with Marvin Davis:
1) They left EXPOSED nails on stairs in my 14 month old daughters bedroom and told us the contract was complete. Complete!! Really!?!? Nails, that have been on that staircase
