We bought 2005 GMC Tacoma, 8 foot longbed for 6k from Smoky Mt. and had it shipped to SC. Mileage...15 k /:
17 years old w/15 k truly a barn find.
Truck arrived in perfect condition- they had done a,tuneup - this truck honestly should have still been under warranty

During a test drive, the 4wd shifter was completely loose. Informed them, and within 20 minutes it was no longer loose and appeared to be good. Fast forward to post-purchase my mechanic showed me that it was actually reattached with a piece of wire. The engine had a major oil leak (possibly maliciously hidden based on slew of other issues, but not sure), transmission had cracked overdrive casing and was slipping (but was told it was recently installed??), the bottom body of the truck was redone with company license plates and some sort of liquid plastic that just completely crumbles and will eventually

Purchased a car from Smoky Mountain Traders, overheated within about 10 miles of driving it off the lot. Brought it back, Devvin and the mechanic Tom worked tirelessly to resolve the problem, after quitting time. Loaned me a vehicle to drive home, called the next morning and the problem(electric fan motor) was resolved. Drove back, picked up the car. It's a 30 year old car, and the few things wrong with it were brought to my attention by Devvin. These are very professional and personable people and I would definitely reccomend them. Next vehicle I purchase I will go there first!

My first mistake was when I purchased a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado on 7/7/21 they advertised on the eBay website as a solid truck. So I assumed the vehicle was safe to purchase online with no regrets. Well I learned once I received the truck in my driveway the truck has a abs and check engine light, that was my least of my worries I could see the rust bleeding through paint and the under carriage chassis.
I immediately called Tasha Roberts for a return authorization for full refund and she told me that I purchased this truck as is with no warranty.
She also said that they would not refund

Drove 4.5 hours to buy a Jeep that we were assured to be in great condition- no known problems. When we got there were given an apology that there were, in fact, warning lights on the dash board. BASS/ ESP / ABS / ENGINE. My husband is a mechanic and could fix it, we drove a really long way because we wanted the Jeep but the owner only wanted to come down $700 when the cost of repair would be more. Absolutely his choice to take the offer or not, but what a shame that they were not honest about the condition of the car before we took off from work and drove all that way after being told that there

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very attentive to any concerns I had, and open and honest about what they can do.
As a plus, they don't offer financing in house -- which means you won't get hounded by a financier the whole time you're there. Will definitely return if they have something else that sparks my interest!

I drove a few hours to pick up a hard to find Cadillac Allante in very nice condition. After checking everything out, we noticed the air was not as cold as it could be. Jordan called a tech, and within 15 mins it was fixed and we were ready to hit the road. The drive back was very pleasant, and it is a great running and great looking car. I think a lot of people expect some of the older cars to be showroom new, and unless you want to pay the super high premiums for finding such a beast, then most of the cars on this lot are very fairly priced.
