Don’t even worry about calling this place up to speak with a sales rep, called 4 different times to see how much they were asking on a vehicle they had listed online that says call for pricing. Ridiculous, they lost out on a customer for sure.

My vehicle shopping day at Peterson Toyota was awesome!! I purchased a brand new 2022 Toyota Camry with them and it didn't take all day and night to complete everything from start to finish. I was highly impressed.. They sure made it seem like it was all hassle free. They worked really hard and fast on my behalf. I have never had such a great car buying experience. Thanks to all Staff who worked with me. I got a good price for my trade in. I'd suggest Peterson Toyota anytime!!!!

Just got off the telephone with the sales Mgr whose attitude was this is my price, no negotiation with price. Is it better to make a sale and meet your year end quota, or have a sale walk away? I purchased my last vehicle at Lumberton Toyota and because of the arrogant feeling I experienced,, I will not go back. I am getting great service with Leigh Toyota who now is willing to work a price that I believe is fair and upfront. If you think of a dealership that wants to put you in a new vehicle and willing to talk price, do NOT go to Peterson Toyota in Lumberton. I wonder if all Peterson dealerships

We came and started looking at the trucks. Nothing has a price on it, so you have to talk to someone to get any information on anything. A salesman walked up, while looking at a Toyota Tundra and said that it would probably be out of our price range before even asking any questions. He assumed we couldn't afford it and proceeded to show us a cheaper truck. This interaction set the tone, without being rude we thanked him for his time and left.

They advertise this "BIG DEAL"- one where they offer you over $5k over Kelly blue book for your trade in vehicle. I called the dealership to verify this deal and they were all for it.

When I arrived nobody knew what I was talking about when I mentioned The "big deal". Not only that but the dealership offered me BELOW KELLY BLUE BOOK for my trade-in vehicle. They wouldn't budge on the price of the car, nor the trade in offer. After threatening to walk away, they finally gave us a measly 1k more on our trade in.

I have filed a complaint with the State Department of Consumer Protection.
If anyone has experienced what I'm about to describe, I recommend they do the same.
Just to reiterate what other 1-star reviews have said. This is the type of place to use mass mail lottery scams to finagle people into traveling to their dealership which they then use even more shady practices to rip people off on a new vehicle they probably don't even want.
I had a disabled elderly neighbor fall for this & had to assist them, drove up, & even I was missing what was going on as they were probing for info from the poor

Absolute scam artists Here. Do not trust a word they say. Matt, the sales manager sends out flies saying you win money, to get you in the door and tell you you're not a winner of anything. Its above misleading, they're lying to you to get you into the dealership. Purposely, lying to its customers. I drove an hour for absolutely nothing. Screw these people.

Went in to look at buying a car and the salesperson that I dealt with was completely unprofessional. While looking for a new car, he was answering multiple calls and texts from his girlfriend and not even answering some of the questions I had. I had better expectations from this dealership and was completely disappointed at how the managers ran their staff/employees. Also, the inventory of cars here is extremely low. Save yourself some time and go to another dealership.

I am going through a slight rough patch Right now.
Dog just died and I'm a little tight with money. They told me at one $10,000 and I tried to confirm it three times:. I felt stupid the last time I called them because I had already called and they were being so reassuring. They lied after I drove my husband for a total of two hours. I can imagine if someone was extremely desperate and they raised all of their hope. It's the wrong. they fit the stereotype of shifty car salesman. Nice staff but very poor communication and customer service. I spent weeks trying to contact an individual for assistance after purchasing a vehicle through this dealership. Not once did they return a single call as promised. Three months later, my vehicle still isn’t registered and now it’s all on me. A notice would’ve have been nice instead of telling me that they were handling everything.
I will not be purchasing another vehicle through this dealership or recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle. The headache and stress is not worth it.

Was nervous going back here due to a couple less than pleasing visits. After I arrived and was greeted by Lance I explained my caution and my past experiences. He informed me that they have gone through massive employee turnover in the service department and he felt confident that the entire attitude of the department was 180° different. I am much more confident in them after this appointment and hope they remain on this path moving forward.

These guys take the cake. They put out a flyer saying you could win $10,000 and other prizes, then when you see you could win by the scratch offs and call them a guy on the phone tells you that you most likely won and there is no hitch to win just come in at 2pm.

When you get there a bunch of people are there and they are saying "this must be a scam, I have been here for a while and I haven't heard anything" They weren't kidding. They asked for all this info and when they got to the social security number I knew something was wrong and I still gave it to them. Stupid me, they

I don't recommend you get your repairs here I went in for an inspection and I had an appointment and still waited 2 HOURS and after that I asked for a estimate and he couldn't give me one when I declined to get my car fixed there they made a note on my inspection that I was a bad customer maybe as a warning to the mechanic to inflate the price on the repair but I know that won't happen because I'll never be back there again.
Side note the car salesmen where very respectful I just don't recommend you get your car worked on here

Then had the never to get a attitude with me when I called back to address my concerns of my visit. I called about a specific used Traverse that i was interested in buying. I talked to the salesman and made an appointment to come test drive and see the vehicle the following day the call was around 730pm. I got off work the next morning, called to confirm I was going to the correct place and drove over an hour to the dealership. When I arrived at the dealership I was told the vehicle that I was there to drive had already been sold but they could sell me something else. This is not the way to conduct business. I should have at least received a courtesy call so I did not waste my time and gas. I

Im am extremely unhappy with your customer service. I was trying to sell my vehicle to you on your buyback program. Cause advertised you would give KKB value plus up to $4k over if. I asked the person texting me for some preliminary numbers to to if it would be worth my time driving all the way to lumberton or not. Whoever they were rushed to get me a an appt and then ghosted when I asked for the numbers. I had to keep texting them and then they said they would ask the manger in the morning. Well this morning they asked for the vin, miles and condition of the vehicle and I gave them all the data

Use my lunch break to speak to someone who I thought was going to be my salesmen when I walked in later in that evening was told by that person that they had 10 cars that were fitting the description of what I was looking for drive all the way out from Fayetteville to Lumberton to find out that no they don't have any cars that fit that description they were going to try to put me in something else to finance left pissed that I wasted my gas to come here don't come to Lumberton to buy your vehicle

Our truck was towed to Peterson in March. We got it back 6 months later after MANY phone calls. That's the good part. The service department is very shady. They were charging me for parts twice. That's right - twice. We are talking THOUSANDS of dollars!! The motor that was ordered for the truck came with all the parts that were needed to complete the repair. They had also ordered parts before ordering the motor and decided that I could pay for those parts, even though the mechanic had turned them in to the parts department to be credited to my account. This is specifically for the Jeep Chrysler Dodge service center. We recently got a recall on a 2012 jeep. One was for a fuel pump that could cause the car to stall while in motion. Obviously very important. The other was for a sun visor lamp-not important and no resolution existed for it yet. My husband called the day before and explained the situation and they told him to come in early as a walk in. The place was dead and the person we dealt with said they can't fix one without fixing the other until the parts come in a few weeks later...we need to ship the car out next week. The fix for

Horrible service, rude customer service representatives, incompetent mechanics that cost me $700+ and MY CAR WAS NOT FIXED and they did not know what to do to fix my Dodge Journey. I had to get my SUV fixed by a dealership in Fayetteville. Last part of this dealerships horrible service is that I was informed by the Fayetteville dealership that Peterson put a fuel pump that was defective! I am totally disgusted by Peterson Toyota Scion Chrysler in Lumberton!
