They cleaned and repaired a sensor in the flame control section of the furnace. Also discovered a small plumbing leak on a piple over the furnace which was causing the problem and repaired the leaking valve during his visit. Woke up to a cold house. Called and left a message around 7 am. We had someone at the house within a few hours who was able to repair the problem while he was there.

I have used Bales twice in the last four years. First time, they saved me thousands of dollars after a large, well-known, and well-advertised competitor very nearly convinced me to replace my entire system for over $7000. Bales came to the rescue, explained that the system was in otherwise good shape, and fixed it for $600 -- furnace still going strong. They came out yesterday and replaced another part on the system for $200 and said to expect at least a few more good years out of the system. Yes, it is old, but no it doesn't need to be replaced, and no the utility savings on a new model

I cannot emphasize enough how truly impressed and pleased I am with these guys. I'm currently remodeling my basement and had the idea to move my furnace & ducting to open up more space. From here I will tell the short and long versions of the story:
SHORT VERSION - I wanted to see about moving my furnace, they came out so we could walk through the project/idea, and determined it was a feasible & made sense to do. We set a date range for the project to be completed and they were able to complete the job ahead of schedule (additionally I was only without heat intermittently for part of one day)

I can't say enough about how thrilled I am with everyone from Bales and the services they provide! They promptly take care of the servicing of my boiler heat every year and make sure everything is running properly. They installed central air in my Tri-level house (no prior ducts) this year and did an amazing job!!! Reasonable prices and true professionals make this company my forever go-to guys!!!!

Techs are very kind, but they fall short in making repairs that actuallly fix the problem. After 2 visits to replace replace an element, and then a leak in our hot water tank was still not fixed when we asked another plumber to look at the unit. We were cranking the hot water up and up during single shower after 2 repair trips to our home. The tech lacked the tool to tighten the element, which caused leaking to occur in our newly remodeled and painted laundry room.
Bottom line..... the repair wasn't completed in entirety, we havent had to replace it so far, as per Bales tech, and the
