We purchased a home built by Ellis Custom Homes and we absolutely love it. Well built and of excellent quality. The only issue we had was the cleaning before move in was somewhat lame and getting someone to come back to do our punch list. I ended up doing some of it myself. Other than that, very happy!

Bought a newly built condo by Ellis homes. They have never returned to complete items on punch-out and Mike Jonas has ignored numerous attempts to reach him to address.
As for quality of home my biggest issue is that there is no sound buffer between units (you can hear the ice machine from the unit next door) and while they built a very modern look and feel the actual construction in some areas was subpar. They appear to take little pride in the finishing details. They just want to move quickly to the next project.
Would recommend looking elsewhere if constructing a condo or follow the construction

They are great! I am currently building with them and the experience has been awesome. They are very organized and professional in every aspect. You are informed of every detail through the Builder Trend App. I have never had this kind of service in any house that I have built. I look forward to the finished product!

We built an Ellis Custom Home in 2019 and absolutely love it. We came from a similar size home but with neighbors almost within reach. We now have almost an acre with a beautiful home and view. The people, design process and the subcontractors are what makes Ellis as good as they are. All projects have issues but they handled them properly and keep the project moving. Great quality, value and experience.

During our new build a few parts went very well but Ellis Custom Homes is very disorganized. They communicate poorly with contractors and the homeowner. We had to closely monitor the entire build process from start to finish as Ellis processes are so flawed. We desired to delay our review in order to give an overall review of the entire process through closing and warranty items. We want to be fair to those that were actually helpful and thorough but also be educational for anyone deciding to use Ellis for their home build.

It’s hard to give a accurate rating to this group because some of them are excellent people who are so friendly and helpful. The design and planning process was easy and fun like it should be. Building wasn’t as bad as I’ve heard from others who have built. The real issue comes down to once they got my last check, I was no longer a customer. It took several calls (none of which were returned), emails, and 4 months to come look at my septic system which 2 different contractors refused to go near in fear of crushing the lines do to lack of coverage. I installed my dishwasher after they did
