I recently had a contract writing appointment with Michelle and Beth, who are AWESOME by the way. My concern is if decisions are to be made on kitchen cabinet choices, to include colors and styles, samples should be available for clients to chose from. If you do not want all white cabinetry the other choices should be available to see and choose from. Images pulled from a website and shown from the computer does not give a true color representation of what is offered. There aren't any samples to choose from, no granite samples, no quartz samples, no paint samples, no cabinet door samples...nothing

They painted my house in the rain, paint ran on the shingles, then painted over my shingles to hide it! Said they would replace before closing, but never did!
Missing insulation in ceiling and underneath home!
Missing moisture barrier under home!
Standing water on sidewalks due to poor grading when warranty states there shouldn’t be! They didn't fix! Blamed on the city. City inspector called several times about various issues!
Leaking window in living room, they said they fixed. Continued to leak, then claimed it was probably “an act of God”.(40 windows in the house, God really has an

The houses are beautiful but the workmanship was lacking. everything had some sort of malfunction with in the first year and warranties were next to impossible. I have been in my house for 1.5 years and i still have not gotten all my items fixed. The main office does not talk to anyone in the field. overall bad management. and the workers don't tell the owners what is going on. would not recommend for the price.

The homes are beautiful but the people in charge are flat out terrible. No one can answer a simple yes or no question and most of the questions the Stephen Alexander agent doesn't even know the answer to. Monique is a terrible agent and doesn't even have a meeting for each adjustment for the house, she will dismiss you and put whatever she wants and will make it economically and verbally difficult for you to get the home you want. If I knew she was so awful at her job we would've never got in business with this company.

Our new Stephen Alexander home is our best new home by far. No other builder comes even close. The design and workmanship are first class. Best carpentry and electrical I have ever seen. Great HVAC. They do not cut corners or skimp on anything. Very responsive after the final closing. He is the Best Builder in the USA. He is the Mercedes-Benz of Home Builders. Do not go anywhere else.

We shopped for nearly 2 years to find the perfect house for our blended family in either Chesapeake or VA Beach. After exhausting our search, we decided to look into the possibility of building our home. We absolutely love our Stephen Alexander home! We built the home from across the country and the process was smooth and straight forward! We were given pictures and virtual walk throughs every step of the way! We have had the house for 5 years and the customer services has been exceptional! They have gone above and beyond and even fixed a few minor issues well outside the warranty period! John has been a fantastic construction manager helping with post build questions! It has been a great experience and I would not hesitate to work with Stephen Alexander Homes again!

We were blessed with a home from Stephen Alexander Homes almost 9 years ago.This has truly been a dream for us and we will always be grateful for all they did! The quality and craftsmanship of the home was superb when we purchased it in 2009 and it is still just as awesome! We have had no issues since the day we moved in and we know that is because Stephen Alexander Homes builds an awesome house! I have known the Quick family for decades now and have had the opportunity to work closely with them over the past few years. Five years later, I am sitting in my Stephen Alexander home and still loving it as much as the first day. The entire building experience was enjoyable and fun.
