From the very beginning, Brian helped us in EVERY aspect from dealing with the city and our non-confirming lot, to working diligently with the architect till the dream we saw in our mind was converted to reality. It's hard to compete with the fantastic Ocean View Beach panoramic views but the kitchen definitely is a show stopper.
The granite and hardwood floors are outstanding. The bathrooms are amazing and the his/hers custom shower is spa-like. The attention to detail and workmanship that Mid-Atlantic is accustom to really shows the pride and dedication they have in their work and reinforces their homes are built to last.

Mid-Atlantic Custom Builders is a family owned business that has been in operation since 2000. Brian Grace, the owner, has been remodeling and building homes in the Tidewater area for over 20 years. His wife, Robin Grace, is actively involved in the business and is also the owner of Mid-Atlantic Realty and Associates.
This unit is designed to be a "live/work" unit, have your home based business on the first floor and living area above on the second floor. Beautiful corner lot in the highly-desirable neighborhood of Larchmont, very close to the Navy Bases and ODU. One house back from the beach, this house will have gorgeous unobstructed, "forever" bay views from both porches.

We finally decided to finish the room over the garage in our 20-year old home addition. Brian Grace and Mid-Atlantic Custom Home Builders came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. Brian stayed on schedule and budget while delivering us a well-appointed extra bedroom and bathroom in a challenging space with lots of angles. He and his talented team communicated with us often and added several unique touches to the project. Maybe most importantly, using his skilled vision, he incorporated a barn door into the project that was my wife’s one stipulation.

We needed to open our living room/dining room/den area to create a flow through the house in lieu of the "compartmentalized" nature of our 1950's Cape Cod style home. We had ideas of what we wanted to do but did not know how to achieve it. Our neighbor was in the process of having Brian remodel their upstairs to add living space; we looked at the work being done and contacted Brian on their recommendation.

Brian finished out our carriage house apartment over the garage. He and his team did very good quality work, were responsive to requested changes, and did a great job on promptly fixing punch list items. Brian was fair and reasonable in the final negotiation to close out the job. Overall a very good experience.

Brian and his team completed an unfinished second floor of my house, to include 2 bedrooms and a shared full bathroom, and closing off a separate attic space. He did an excellent job, was easy to work with, kept communications open regarding challenges and modifications, was flexible with timing and payments, and was great to work with. Brian is trustworthy, reliable and honest about projects. I’m working with him again now on a much larger project because he does top quality work. Highly recommended!
