Services
Our Mowing Maintenance program is is very comprehensive and is limited to only certain areas within Sarasota and Bradenton. Mowing the grass; edging the sidewalks, driveways and flower beds; string trimming; and blowing debris off hard surfaces will be done approximately 40 times per year. During the summer months service will be weekly and during the winter months service will be bi-weekly.
For a Freshen-Up or a Complete Makeover, our landscape design and installation team is second to none. We have decades of experience in the Sarasota and Manatee areas. We are very familiar with the sub-eco climates that exist in many different subdivisions. We use a vast variety of plants and planting material to achieve the right look for your house or building.
This is designed so that we can have a quick look at many of the various plants that are commonly found in this area of Florida. Our area is very unique in the sense that we are right on the border line where freezing temperautures, drought, and flooding and all occur within one year or not for several years.
It seems like lawns are either too wet or too dry. We have been experiencing lower than normal rainfall for the last few years and it is predicted to continue. We have full time irrigation specialist who will around six times per year, run your system, clean around sprinkler heads, clean and/or replace popup nozzle heads and filters, adjust risers, adjust timmer/controller.

I have used Mike Gast Lawn Care for 4 years and am very pleased with the services they provide. The lawn is lush and green. Trees and shrubs around the house are trimmed and look great. Mike's crew have also done irrigation work, mulching, and landscape design for me. The guys work fast, understandably, but are friendly, thorough and always clean up after themselves. I can highly recommend them.

I wish I could give *zero* stars. I signed up for lawn care including trimming in February. Mike told me he would be mowing and trimming every other week until mid-April. What transpired was his men coming to my house for 5 minutes every other week, at most - sometimes not at all - and often not mowing OR trimming. One week, his crew pulled up and I watched from my window as they removed a single tree branch (that had already fallen) and left. I had my lawn re-done with brand new fresh cut green sod. The sod was not allow to sit and take root. My lawn was mowed multiple times within the first month of installation. This mowing continued despite the fact that I called the office weekly informing them that the sod was just placed, and this will kill lawn. My healthy lawn developed fungus, and a plethora of diverse weeds under Mike Gast's care. This company seemed convenient as they were able to take care of pest control, fertilization, and maintaining my lawn. After paying more money than anyone on my street for service I was disappointed to see that my grass looked the worst on our street. After calling the company several times (they did not return my call) I was simply told there was a drought. I've been using them since November and I've seen no results.

They came to cut my neighbors trees.. in doing so they blew all their saw duty onto my wife's car and my truck. Not I get stuck with cleaning up their mess. Would suggest looking else where if you're looking for a company to do work for you. To them it's all about the numbers and not care what mess they leave behind..

Go ahead and use this guy if you want to have him in your neighborhood driving around recklessly. He came into my lane and ran me off the road today (on BeeRidge) because he was too busy talking on the phone while driving. I honked, he didn't stop or seem phased, because he was too self absorbed in his chat. I'd call and complain, but this seems to be a one man show. Hire a secretary, or get off the damn road, Mike.
