Tropical Painting and Co. repaired and updated my homes fence, porch, and siding. All work was performed on time and was reasonably priced. I will use them again and recommend their services. We hired Tropical Painting to Remodel our house!
Best decision ever.
It is a 100 year old home in down town durham that needed a ton of love, I heard about them through a family friend and decided to go with them.
Mike was awesome at walking me through what needed to happen for this remodel,even handled the mold remediation that surprised us. He could’ve just ripped out the floors that were affected but he was adamant on being thorough and making sure our space was safe, even went ahead and searched the walls as well.
Our home now is just so warm and cozy, with the 100 year old charm still

When my fiancé and I moved into our first home we experienced a flood that damaged the entire first floor of our home. We initially were working with a contracting company in Durham that was terrible. They were unresponsive which led us to wait 2 months of living with no floor in our home. After letting them go I found Tropical Painting and construction to repair the drywall in the bathroom where the flood started. Very professional and excellent quality work!. Exterior house painting, wood deck stain and some minor home repairs were done. Rafael and Abo were honest and trust worthy, They were also very experienced, skilled and knowledgeable. Mike is a perfectionist and the type of contractor you want to hire !!! We contracted with Tropical to do a full bathroom remodel. This included demo of existing soaker tub, shower, floors, toilet, mirrors, and lights over vanity. Tub water lines capped as we didn't need/want the tub. New tile floors installed. Completely new shower enclose constructed with tile floors and walls. Existing vanity was removed, raised 3", and reinstalled. Drywall replaced/repaired as needed. Toilet installed. Existing ceiling mounted light fixture was moved to line up with a second light fixture; both fixtures were changed out to LED fixtures. New LED fixtures installed over vanity. New
