KAP has practiced the architectural design philosophy of 'High Design/Low Carbon' long before it was in vogue.
We are guided by the idea that architectural design excellence need not be sacrificed for principles of sustainability. Services
KAP provides a complete range of architectural services, including Schematic Design, Design Development, preparation of Construction Documents, assistance during contractor Bidding and Construction Administration. Additionally, we can provide Pre- Design Analysis, which includes zoning/building code review and land use studies, which allows us to investigate the potential of a property.
Climate Change requires us to consider the climatic conditions that the building will be operating in in the future. It is also a great feeling knowing your home is designed to be in tune with Nature, and if it is a 'Net Zero' home, designed to generate all of its power on site on an annual basis, you have carbon free home operations.
KAP provides conceptual design (specifically related to RFP's), design development solutions and construction documents for airport retail and concessions spaces and other related aviation facility planning. We are highly committed to the wide spectrum of green goals, initiatives and applications in airport concession programs, meeting or exceeding the targets identified in the Sustainable Airport Manual (SAM) and in related LEED programs.
My husband and I hired Nate Kipnis and his firm after interviewing several architects about the design of our vacation property. Our wish was to build a second home with green features, and Kipnis' firm was without question up to the task. He educated us about the options for building materials, helped us select a contractor, then worked closely with the contractor to make sure he understood all of the innovative design features.
