We used JEC for a laundry room addition, flooring and lighting install. The lighting/electrical work Chris provided is the only part of our experience we see full value w/added appreciation in for his attention to detail and schedule commitments as an independent contractor working with JEC as needed. The experience with the owner Dave and how the remaining projects were poorly managed and executed across the board is why we do not recommend JEC when asked of our experience by neighbors.

JEC started an entryway and garage addition the week of Thanksgiving 2019. I was quoted a time of 6-8 weeks for the project and they still are not close to done (April 30th 2020).
Dave never showed me a final drawing. This mistake led to the garage being 2 ft short and the entryway being unsymmetrical. He took "liberties" without consulting me or my wife, changing our plans because he thought we would like it better the other way.
The only way I got workers to my house after 3 weeks of no activity was to have another company come out and quote me to fix JECs mess.

A year ago my master bath shower was leaking into my hallway. I called 6 different contractors to look at it, JEC was the only one who offered to open up the hallway ceiling and find the source of the leak BEFORE ripping apart the entire tiled shower, (on the chance that it was fixable from below). Unfortunately, the leak was from a poorly made shower bench and the entire shower floor was compromised. JEC did a fantastic job building a brand new tile shower and also installing ceramic flooring! I never felt rushed as we worked together to come up with a gorgeous design that really was an upgrade

Horrible customer sevice! I filled out information on a local contractor site because my husband and I want to put an addition on our home. Within 10 minutes of filling out the form someone from JEC contacted me about our inquiry. When I explained to him what my husband and I wanted to do he basically came off like he didn't want us wasting any of his time and suggested that we go through an architect first. I then explained to him that I already knew what I wanted and that we would like to get an estimate so we can start planning our addition. With that being said he decided to set up an appointment
